Paypal limited ebay still good!!

Can I add a new paypal account to an old ebay account which has had original paypal limited?? I was linked by accounts & limited, but all ebay accounts are good and limits have been raised. Can I salvage these accounts for atleast a small amount of time??

To answer your questions in order:-

Yes, you can.
Probably.

It can be done but is not advisable. Merely removing the old paypal and adding a new one is likely to cause a quick limitation.

The best long term measure is to start again but if you are determined to go for it, I would advise doing the following over a period of time (say a month or so):

1. Remove old paypal from ebay.
2. Change ebay user id.
3. Change ebay email.
4. Change ebay address.
5. Create new paypal & link to ebay.

I would do step 5 after 30 days have elapsed since completing step 2.

I'm not saying this will work in the long term (it probably won't) but it's what I'd do if I was to attempt it.

Do us a favour and report back on the thread if the new Paypal gets axed as well.

@Ebayorbust, well I get what you are saying (and a worthy experiment) you really should not be recommending this...it could a BIG headache for new folx to stealth. Best to go COMPLETELY FRESH AND STEALTH.

Answer: To salvage the eB account safely, you would need a NEW payment method acceptable to eB...like Skrilla or Paymate (if UK has this) or other

Te OP, levi', was online a few weeks back...not seen him recently :)

Situation is quite different for you. You can consider a merchant account. Benefit of USA ebay accounts is other payment options.

I recall seeing your thread on this topic.

Has anyone attempted this? I have a great eb account the pp went down a couple months ago...I was thinking about setting up another pp account to bring some life back to this account. Ebayorbust's strategy seems decent...but not interested in investing a little time/money if its a sure fire waste.

The issue is that you can NEVER be 100% sure when it goes down

Ebayorbust's strategy is not for the long haul.

Re: Paypal limited ebay still good!!

This isn't something that will work long term. The new Paypal account that gets attached will always end up being linked to the limited one. It is just a matter of time before the new Paypal gets limited as well.

The correct way to proceed is always a new Paypal AND a new Ebay but for some people that don't want to give up on an established ebay account it can keep a business running until new accounts are bedded in.

I've found that it often takes LESS work to start fresh and new with everything as a set.... just keep the working module (either an Ebay or PP account) as it is for some "solution" you run across in the future... but as a rule, over time, it's far, far, far less confusion and work and risk starting over with everything altogether. Hard to set it aside, I know (been there!) but in the interest of general efficiency, start fresh. Remember, your time has a very real value.

i AM NOT giving advise just a statement .. I wrote a old thread years ago frankinstein account where i had a good eb and limited pp and another account with limited eb and and good pp so i sent payments to the already established pp "different name " .. this worked for a long time probably a year or better and i was the cause of eb getting limited then.. Caught lots of crap when i wrote about it ,BUT thousands was made with this, already had my bank hooked up to it. Was a win win for me .. but that was just my experience . Good luk

If there is no issues with your ebay account, you can add any paypal account.
