final advice before creating ebay account

Thank you for the stealth guide apskin and all the advice over here

So im about to create my new ebay and fingers crossed not get blocked, intend to do things right this time (yes i admit it was my fault just a little bit)

I do have a few questions along the way so would appreciate the help

1) will use old laptop to avoid clashing of cookies etc

2) will change IP address

3) i previously used my name and address so this time I intend to use my dads name

PS: My dad has never had an ebay account or paypal account
4) since my old account was created when i lived at home with parents and than i changed it to my new one when i moved out i intend to use mail box etc in the UK, however since i will have to provide them with an address to forward mail to i'm wondering if they will ask mail box etc for the address the box is registerd to or if they wont? If they do my dads address will flag up?
(one related q to this is if one account is blocked from a certain address will other accounts from different people from the same address cause problems?)

5) will use my dads bank account. Again the bank account is registered to the home address which I understand according to the guide should not be a problem even though I will create a paypal account on this address?

If i am missing something please do let me know.

Do not use dad's details to create the account.

Don't use family or friend info - go stealth - work with name variation or completely new name. His bank account may be fine to use if he allows it but still, best to use your own account.

Poor advice.

On one hand dont use Dads info and on the other hand use Dads banking info?

Plain and simple.

Do not use Dads info for anything at all.

Especially something as important as a bank account.

Do not involve your parents name or info of any kind period.

That's what the purpose of the word "but" is but whatever, always with the judgement. OP listen to the good advice given.

Not a judgement at all, it is a fact.

Most of us here advise new members to not use any information of family members or friends at all and yet you felt it could be ok to use a bank account.

Of all things using a parents bank account would be one of the last things to be advising someone to do.

Either you are for using friends and families info or not, you cannot advise in other post to never use it and then turn around and tell someone of all things to maybe use Dads bank account.

For me I am trying to help the OP not to get themselves into trouble when there are so many other options available.


OP- Do not use "any" info from your Dad. Send me a pm and I will help you find alternative ways to not use his information at all.
