Had 60+ day old case opened. buyer said not as described, i said it is... refused to allow them to return. They escalated it to ebay customer support. Ebay told them they were not eligible, but decided in their favor. Thus the case counts against me.
Bunch of **** right?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
A manual agent open a case after 45+ days...wow that is BS...talk about circumventing the rules but it shows that if a buyer complains enough, they can be helped. Rough to hear
Makes sense. Customer probably has some experience doing it.
Quite likely - the customer decided to take initiative one time of calling in and seeing further options...learned about manual assistance and - whoops I can use and abuse to hurt seller.

This could be the case but I explained this was coming and was happening a month or so ago.
This is not only happening on buyers who call in, it is a random thing ebay is doing. Trying to again give the buyer more leverage without advertising it.
this is a bit off topic, but i have a buyer who opened a case as not received/described. the item had been delivered 2 weeks ago and now the case is over but the buyer is ignoring/refusing to close the case now that it is solved.. how long will i need to wait for ebay to automatically close this case? the reason why i'm a bit worried is cause the funds are on hold until the case is completely closed.
if the case is over what do you mean case not closed? I do not understand
He means that the decision was made but for some reason, the claim is still open. It will auto close after some time - was the case in your favour or the buyer's?
