You should always stay away from using images from google and always try to use your own.

Timely advice. Hope the OP has read this thread

With new changes to photo rules, that is going to be essential from now.

Thank you all for the info. After calling Ebay they stated that all 13 accounts were linked due to "posting similar listings". Which is a crap reason as half the accounts never sold anything at all related to the other half and the GFs account never sold anything but her own household items.

It is possible that they scraped some of our pictures for data but even then Ive had several cameras over the life of these accounts and while I can see a chunk or cluster of them being linked this way I just cannot see them all being linked as such. We are still mostly in the dark.

However from now on we are certainly going to scrape our pictures of data before posting them.

eB does not have to always justify PROPERLY their linking ...you got linked for more than just listings, if you say accounts never sold anything - it means you got linked by OTHER means. Those accounts are dead and waste of your time.

Get stealthing - do it properly - keep your accounts away from your GFs' as well.

The only link I see would be this:

Over a long period of time, IPs from a small company will cycle. If you logged your IPs on a spreadsheet with conditioning, you are safe. But if you left it to memory, there could be a chance that IP crossed.

I use Vmware to segregate the accounts and thats worked great until now.
Using a VMware does not guarantee that the accounts cannot be linked. A VW is either bridged or Nated and share the WAN IP address. This could be a potential problem.

Your G/Friend
If she ever used the same provider to access internet and go the same IP address, that can cause trouble.

Just thinking of possibilities, not very sure.

Thank you all for the assistance. I believe what happened is this...

I made the gf her own Ebay account and she used the house internet static IP address, not the business internet dynamic IP, linking her account to the only account Ive ever used the home internet for, I call it New3. New3 is the very first account that got limited. In fact it has an "Indefinite Selling Restriction" (which Ive never heard of before and need to learn what that means) placed on it now. About a week or so later all my other accounts tumble within about 5 minutes of each other.

It makes sense to me that this initial link caused a real person to review my account activity, etc and they linked the rest together. Id love to go in there and shout at my gf for this but its really my fault. The lesson here kids is do NOT get your spouse involved until they know what the hell they are doing because you can be the most careful person in the world and it matters not one bit if those around you dont follow the same rules. And I cant even sue her for contract infringement =( what a horrible business partner she turned out to be. I forgot that cardinal rule about never mixing family and business and I spose it applies here as well.

User error is the reason for suspensions

Can not be stated enough

To run stealth there can be no links ever

Sad lesson

Learn from it

As long as you have learned and will make future moves to avoid linkage, that is the first step. All the best now.
