Default think i've been linked - auto feedback

On my stealth account I've just set up selling manager, and went to leave feedback.

It gave me a list of stored feedback to give, and surprise surprise they are the ones stored for my main genuine account!!!

Not sure how it knows this - hyper v virtual machine with dedicated user for stealth

unique email, address, phone, vcc, bank account (same sort code), paypal, dynamic IP always reset before and after log on.

Only thing I can think of is that the emails come through to my iPhone, so that I know if I need to log on to the stealth pc to dispatch something etc.

Once I forgot to turn wifi off on my iphone, quickly remembered and turned it off, didn't use the phone but the ebay app is always running in the background for push notifications.

Really can't think where else I've slipped up! Unless it's something with sellnig manager I'm not aware of.

Accounts both in good standing, so ebay haven't complained yet, but I have only just listed loads on the stealth after selling some around the house things for the last 3 months.

Are you using the iPhone app for the stealth account? If so stop.

Also if you ever open an email from EB they will be able to get info from you phone or laptop unless images ect are disabled.

No the iphone app just works with my personal account I've had for 10 years.

Then I have my main selling account with real info, then these stealths I'm trying to set up to futureproof things.

Never clicked a link in a stealth email, just use it as a notification that I need to turn on the computer do something. I have just changed my preferences to text only instead of html from the stealth account, as thats how they must have done it. Too late I guess tho.

also strange is I never got an email from ebay saying my item had sold, only knew as I had the funds received email from paypal.

I've had an ebay email for my previous sales with this stealth so that seems strange - a coincidence?

no but I don't see how it can't be -

has a dedicated virtual machine with xp installed dedicated to 1 stealth account
ip address is changed at the router.

Surely it doesn't access cookies etc from the host machine?

Well I think I'll put it down to the email image tracking, opening them all on my iPhone.

As I've only found out they're linked due to the auto feedback (seems strange ebay would do this anyway) and the accounts are still happily running, what should I do next?

I don't want to ruin my main account, so should I change the details of the stealth to my real info and just leave it / have it as a second account for different products?

I'm scared that one day in the future they will limit it when asking for id, which when I don't provide, will ban that and my real account?

well i know that

what i mean is if I change it to the real info, then it just looks like i've moved house for example. Then when they contact asking for ID, I can give it to them.

Otherwise, they will ask for ID to match up to the stealth details

oookay so my stealth account has just been upgraded to 130/3800 from 25/750! This account has sold about 5 items spread over 3 months, and a few days ago I listed 25 items.

My main account has been open same amount of time, maxed out limits each month, 100% feedback and 5.0 stars, yet no increase. Maybe they're watching me on here and don't want me to leave until they have something bigger to take away from me

Just a thought - does everyone have the same feedback stored on selling manager by default? As I notice that a lot of the feedback given to me by sellers is identical. Maybe I wasn't linked after all?

I mix the feedback methods.

I prefer to appear different on each account.

on a side topic ( as rsot likes to throw in) paypal is just the same.

Information is retained for ever.

Even their declarations of destroying documents is phony.
