Verifying Phone Via PayPal.

Hello everyone. I've lurked on this site for a while, never really made many post until now.

I'm in a bit of a jam. I'm attempting to make a purchase using a stealth Paypal account and Paypal is requiring me to add/use an existing number on the account for them to verify that I am indeed the owner of the account before they allow me to make the payment.

I have no access to a landline and have recently purchased a VOIP/call forwarding service (OneSuite) using the same area code as the address listed on my account, but still got the error "we were unable to verify this phone number". I'm wondering if any of you know any other services (paid or not) that are known to currently work and can be used to resolve this issue.

I know I should have had a working phone already established prior to opening any account

All information is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Get a tracfone then a Google voice number and have it sent to your phone. You can have multiple phone numbers in this way. Are you based in the US as your flag indicates?

Thanks for your response! Yes, I'm based in the US. A tracfone seems like a good option. Could you elaborate a bit more on the method?

Few posts to guide you:

Few other US people will be by later quite likely - it's pretty simple and cheap to do :)

Does not work to confirm location DO not get a tracfone or google voice for this. I use gas stations to do mine and no one on the forum has been able to answer this question or are willing to share the answer as of yet.

Havent had issues with GV danshan - I also search the net with google and find other services like vumber and flynumber

2nd this. I would use coffee shops in my general area. Ask them to use their phone so you can make a local call. Say your phone died.

I've used TracFones in the past. Now I use a paid forwarding service. It keeps everything in one place. I forward each to my cell phone and have the number transmit MY STEALTH number in call forwarding - that way I know who I am supposed to be and I don't have to carry 10 cell phones with me.

You all are missing the thing here this is not about having a number on your paypal this is to confirm location it requires a landline. Voip, gv, vumber, tracfone and all others i have tried do not work

What call forwarding service do you use? I've tried before, to no avail.

Depends on your business plan and what you want to spend.
