Activity: 0% Longevity: 65% | | IS Ebay giving out limit raises a lot more easier now???
I just received another limit raise a few minutes ago.
I think ebay is giving out limit raises a lot more in the last 2 months, I feel like every other day my accounts are getting limit raises.
Listen to this account that got a raise a few minutes ago. Ok I created this account 7 weeks ago , added a bank account to the Paypal no CC, the bank is a prepaid Mango Money debit card. I than created the ebay account listed my first item quick with no browsing history and got the email saying I need to call in and confirm my identity within 48 hours or the account will be suspended permanately. So I called in using a number generated with the text+ App and quickly got the account reinstated
I than listed one item on auction and sold it for $68. This was a week after the account opened so it sold 6 weeks ago but customer never left feedback . So I have a 7 week old account with a 0 feedback and one item sold
And today I get an email saying congradulations on a great job selling now you can list even more 5 items/$500 to 20 items/$2000.
Anyone else experiencing these more frequent and almost undeserving raises???

Maybe it's another tactic their using so that we push our limits and have to give an EIN or Worse SS# giving up our identity to shut us down

If there are no issues with your account, ebay are raising limits more easily.

My name and this is an example legal name Robert Smith and Stealth Name Bob Smith or Rob Smith , so it works fine in this case but again I don't know if you would even call that a mismatch but for this particular account I did the name that similar just to try something different and works great. There is also a high interest savings account that u get with the checking and your able to transfer money into the account and back out to the card if needed pretty neat and nice mobile app, you can have up to 3 accounts with them and also you can make card to card transfers

I said months ago they hired consultants to help fix their image.
I also said they are giving these crazy raises for a reason.
Many will not be smart enough to understand and run up sales like crazy and get the SSN request.
Still a good idea to spread sales and keep under the radar as this is a complete set up that many will fall for.

Thought occur to any of that just maybe ebay has realized the screwed the pooch with there heavy hand suspensions and saw that they were losing sellers day after day and as a ripple effect buyers also? Not exactly rocket science you also the holiday buying season is coming wich ebay like every other biz that sells or depends on selling nutures. Not everything is secrete enemy action you know.

@ sandy , yep this is definitely whats going on how could they send an email on an account less than 2 months old and 0 feedback and one sale saying congrats on your great selling now u can sell more . And all my other accounts got raises too but at least they have been worked on, but I keep my sales between 8 and the highest 12 items a month, the great thing I experience with these raises is that a week later Paypal releases all holds in funds

They are tempting people with stealth accounts to sell more and than once on the 200/20,000 pace they will hit is with the SS# and expose our identity, this could be a way to rid the marketplace of stealthers

I've been getting raises on my accounts, at first I was trying to find a pattern but honestly I think it's VERY random.
My newest raise was for a 1 month old account with 5 $1 purchases. I finished an auction last week and the buyer didn't even leave feedback yet, nor did I pay my fees.
$1k -> $5k (lol)

It's funny so many of my accounts are getting raise most I have been pushing limits every month etc... And than some like today with 0 feedback and 7 weeks old gets it. But I have one account that I really like it was one of my first accounts that the21 day Paypal hold was lifted and even in the. Beginning it wasnt on every transaction like the other accounts , now the account is almost 6 months old 100% and I really work at it and and even Paypal like I said lifted thier holds 3 months ago but this one account I'm stuck I. The 10/$1000 limit.
Now I don't mind that limit because this is the limit I like to keep at anyway but it's driving me crazy that the one I feel I put the most effort in I'd t getting that little pat on the back sayin good job by raising my limits
Ebay is just so unpredictable but luckily all the surprises have been good ones since operating stealth

They are trying to get people to hit those limits so they can ask for SSN.
Do not provide it over a period of time after the request your account is toast.

Hit and miss with eBay and PayPal. I can't work it out, stopped trying to analyse my accounts to work it out. I just go slow. Some weeks I go past the limit and others I don't. It's like parenting! Crazy!

When they do something nice or good for the sellers watch your back.
You cannot trust them for a minute.

Yes, they're sneaky, but I'm pretty sure they just realize they're cutting off their nose to spite their face with the limits, and their balance sheets are down, and they need more people selling more products. They don't give a rats ass about any of us, it's just to increase their bottom line, and if it helps us, good for us.
