Default Paypal to Paypal transfer

Hello Everybody,

I need a clarification from you experts about my situation.
I recently did a transfer of $2000 from my stealth Paypal account to my friends Paypal account which is a genuine account with SSN and everything.

My Paypal account got limited just after couple of hours making the transfer, my question is that will my friends account will get limited as well and can Paypal reverse the amount back??

Need your comments and clarification. Many Thanks.

Only time will tell if your friends account will get limited

If it does, PP can reverse the payment if they wish to

That was a really large amount flags went up all over the place. If ur intention is to withdraw the money get on that immediately maybe the first amount $250, than $450, than $500, and maybe no more than $500 at a time over a weeks time, but if you both get limited those funds are frozen for 6 months

I think it depends a lot on the reason why the PP was limited. So really I don't think any of us can tell you for sure. In the future though unless you're making $2000 per transaction, I'd recommend pulling that money out in frequent small increments. I think PP wants to make sure you have enough money in there for refunds etc...

Just my experience, I never have problems withdrawing in frequent $100-$300 amounts.

Paypal are usually fast with limiting accounts, so if your friends account was going to get limited for receiving the $2000 then i am sure it would have happened by now.

They will only reverse the payment if your payment has been selected for review, where they ask for proof of delivery etc..

If your friends account is still open and no review is in place, I would start withdrawing from it in slow increments before anything does happen to it.

@OP...take this as a lesson and avoid repeating this. Hopefully both of your accounts can survive this.

A couple of thoughts...

1. Transferring between paypal accounts is risky. One time may not get you linked, but surely more than that, you will link both Paypal accounts. You can jeopardize your friends account this way.

2. Transferring large sums of money is very risky. Paypal may view this as money laundering and limit both accounts.

A big transaction like this will set off flags at PP central...her account may or may not be limited but quite likely so...only time will tell.

Avoid activity like this for the future.

Bunneh is correct about the passing of time - I hope pp does not a) limit your friend's account b) reverse the funds to you AND c) hold your funds until you get de-limited.

So your friend's pp was not affected (you are implying) supergirl?

If he/she withdraws the money and transfer is SUCCESSFULLY completed, chances are low that pp would reach into the bank account and pull the funds....unless he/she owes money to PP
