- - 2 accounts with MC010

| john456 | 09-16-2013 09:29 PM | 2 accounts with MC010 Hello
Two US stealth accounts got hit with a MC010 a week apart:
* Both are US accounts
* Both were created in 2012
* Both started selling roughly in June 2013
* Both sell exclusively 10 items a month in Germany
* Both accounts have US IPs
* Both accounts have auctiva
* Both sell unbranded scented candles that are fulfilled directly in Germany (listing, images, templates, text, scents, etc are completely different).
* Both have good DSR, 100% feedback
After I reached roughly 30+ sales over three months, both accounts got hit with MC010 soon after I relisted the candles. The MC010 was sent by german ebay directly (email is in german, they talk about sending german ID, that is weird since accounts are in US.)
First account last week got suspended since I missed the 72h window to send the docs. However I received an email from russian ebay customer support saying that they received the doc today, will review them and take care of suspension (russian ebay - I am not kidding)
For the second account, I am sending the docs they need tomorrow.
Note: BOTH ACCOUNTS ARE NOT LINKED. PROPER STEALTH WAS USED AT ALL TIMES. Did I do something wrong to get MC010 or is it something I should just expect based on how these accounts are setup and run?

| You dropshipping you saying? |
| BigCJ | 09-17-2013 05:56 PM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 This appears to be the new norm for ebay accounts. I'm guessing its the similarities in the items being sold.
I had an account, selling for 3 months with 15 feedback get MC emails of restriction. Called in and saved it.
If the accounts are restricted, give them a call or provide the necessary documents.
I find that If the account has sold something successfully in the past, and has feedback, leave an auction up as a 30 day BIN non sell-able item to show that the account isn't dormant. |
| john456 | 09-17-2013 10:13 PM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Something is going on. I got a third account today that got MC124 as soon as I relisted. It is a very similar account to the two above. That account sell in a different EURO marketplace. It is a completely different product.
I am starting to feel that my accounts are getting flagged. Here are some of my theories. If anybody has insights, that would be great:
* VPS: all three account are using the same US VPS provider.
* I am selling in EURO marketplace with US account. Euro marketplace want to make sure I am not a european trying to get arount Euro ebay rules.
* I am simply reaching a threshold where new accouts are requiered to provide ID/invoices.
Any insights on why this is happening?
thx

All using the same VPS...it is QUITE possible that the IP range of the VPS provider has been identified and BLACKLISTED by eB...very possible.
Quite possible that the VPS IP range has been identified and flagged |

| john456 | 09-19-2013 09:13 PM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 It is the same vps provider but it is two different vps in two different cities.
Items are fulfilled locally in germany.
It seems that listing to another marketplace tend to flag your account for additional verifications and id request. Second account went mc999 today. Ebay did not like the doc i sent.
Last stealth account may survive this ordeal. I will know more next week.
Thx

Other possibility that raises flag I was told: My account address is in USA yet my product location is Germany and product is listed on ebay.de
I have one last account flagged I am trying to keep alive with docs. I will see.
Crossing my fingers |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Good luck john456 - get off the VPS if you can |
| john456 | 09-20-2013 06:06 PM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Well last account got mc999 just a few minutes ago.
I don't think anyone reviewed the documents. All three accounts got suspended at 72h + 55min exactly after the first MC010 wether I sent the docs or not.
Is ebay starting to prevent sellers from selling in other countries? |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 You might have to ring them up to PUSH for some action. eB is known...to let documents sit around without action :mad2: |
| john456 | 09-21-2013 12:43 PM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Thanks Rsot. I will do that.
Has anyone else had issues with eBay sitting on the docs and letting the 72h expire?
thx

last one pending
Last account: Called for last account this morning. Got public database questions. I was then asked to fax front/back of driver license + utility bill. |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Your persistence is admirable john and you know what to do here...should work fine :thumb: |

Re: 2 accounts with MC010 You seem to have a good track record for keeping your boat afloat at eb/pp every turn & whim they throw at you.
I hope this luck continues for the long term for you have a practiced hand in this field.
It is interesting to read about & learn of your daily escapades with eb/pp.:- |
| john456 | 09-24-2013 12:34 AM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 I called back this morning for last account, trying to see if I could talk my way out of sending the docs. I was told by first rep (the one that routes your call) that my account was flagged as 'high risk'. I freaked out like "my account got hacked OMG"
She told me it happens when accounts are linked to other accounts or if I sell branded/high value items. I told her nope, just one account and selling candles.
Got transferred to T&S. The lady rep told me that I had called yesterday already (based on notes on my account) and that they were expecting docs from me. I apologized and told her I kept getting a message that I had to call.
I am sending the docs this week. Wait & see. |
| GreenBean | 09-24-2013 12:49 AM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 techincally you are linked.
VPS for starters.
Selling in Germany
Same type of items.
:spy: |
| john456 | 09-24-2013 03:41 AM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Is that a manual linking or automated?
VPS have different IP range & OS
Items are similar but the listings are completely different

Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Could be manual or automated....I would tend for manual given that you have been calling in and discussing accounts, probably an eye has been placed on the bunch.
Always tend to accept the most probable situation and work from there. |
| GreenBean | 09-24-2013 05:28 AM | Re: 2 accounts with MC010 It is my surmising from just here.....
If any of those accounts have progressed to a manual review, a similar conclusion could be established.
This is T&S staff.... these are experts.

Re: 2 accounts with MC010 'Experts' is such a loose term - let's just say that they are meticulous in their analysis, whether leading to positive outcomes or negative outcomes. They can be good agents but often have to catch them at the right type of day hah |

A sunny day, a day of rain?
In your world of meticulous agents, just what is it?
:bored: |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 It is what it is - part of the game of getting the good agent IF you dare/bother to call in. Lots of factors to consider - you know this :) |

Different use of the preposition because of the language.
'at' appears incorrect depending on what language is used.
But if 'on' was used it would work.
If that sentence was in French it would be correct. But it does not translate well to English....
hmmmm....
:pop2: |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 I didnt use "at" so... |

Rsot read that again. Yes you did say AT
:mod: |
Re: 2 accounts with MC010 Oh the reference to the previous post - yes "type" should be "time" /shrug |
