Can I make purchase on Etsy if Paypal is limited

I tried to make purchase on Etsy and use credit card as payment method instead of Paypal.

But the credit card is also processed by Paypal, so somehow my credit card can not get through.

Does anybody have same problem? I think when I use pay by credit card, Paypal should be only act as an merchant processor, they should not deny my transaction as long as my card is valid, right?

Or is it just because the card was linked to one of the Paypal account, then Paypal can stop me using it as a payment for Etsy?

Any comments will be appreciated.

Not possible to use a funding source from a limited paypal....

Select another method.

You have hit the nail on the head here - because the card is USED by another PP account...you are causing a link - cant do payment with this card.

Use a different one

But I think in this case, we are not using Paypal account, Paypal is just act like a merchant process like first data, right?

Is this still cause the problem? I thought as long as the card is good, they should not reject the transaction.

In most cases NO MONEY can be moved in or out of paypal when it is limited.

You really did not use the same credit card/gift card on two different paypals right?

Yes, you are using PP as a merchant processor but they are KNOWN to be a bit sneaky.

If your card is attached to a limited PP, PP is KNOWN to block transaction simply because the same card was used.

They will reject the transaction.

Thank you.

With etsy, if you have issues with a funding source of paypal, the transaction is rejected.

It's a sort of inbuilt proection for etsy sellers.
