Activity: 0% Longevity: 89% | | Paypal limited but ebay fine. Options?
So my beloved sole stealth paypal of 5 years got permanently limited a few days ago. Wasn't expecting that, but sales volume had dramatically increased - no customer complaints, bar one or two non arrivals, that were sorted out amicably.
I had a great selling item on ebay, and both stealth accounts are still fine, so I have to consider my options.
I think those ebay accounts won't last too long, with ebay/pp being one and the same. So I'm thinking of adding another paypal (a business one), and keep at it, but instinctively as these are $100 items, I know that the volume (10-20 a week) will be a big alert, and I might loose both the new PP, and the ebay.
CCnow is also looking like a smart option. Through reading Rsot's very helpful posts, I see that I can invoice buyers after the sale, and explain that they can pay through there.
But I'm going to have to modify my auctions, and unlink my pp address (can't receive funds on it- it's gone) and click on 'other' and 'credit cards' for my auctions. So buyers, on first glance aren't even going to know they can pay with paypal, and this will probably kill my sales, right?
Another option is to keep making/buying paypal accounts, hit the limit, change it up and cash out to the same CCnow. Again, this is a high risk strategy.
These things always seem to happen after you get a bit of luck, and find something that sells after a very barren period
Any advice from the wise on how to approach this?

I would not recommend opening up more PP's (since the link to old PP would exist via eB) - you can look at Skrill and other eB payment options to keep the account alive...

Listing on ebay usa greenie
> Rsot
I'm eager to continue offering a paypal option to the buyers, as nearly everyone has an account, and a lot of buyers for my products have had little feedback, or were new accounts.
So with that in mind, how do I do the CCnow thing correctly? Within the payment section, on my listing, I just select other? And don't select any of the electronic payments. Or is there a way to do it, that it "looks" like I take paypal, but they can't pay me automatically, and I can just then manually invoice them through email with CCnow?

You can't use the CCNow option on eB - you would offer Skrill, Paymate, Propay and such - if buyer asks to pay with PP, you would have to "cajole" him/her into paying with an invoice from CCNow to use his/her own PP account....

Ok, I get it. So basically, I sign up for Skrill etc, and hopefully the buyer has no intention of using those services, and I can get them via CCnow.
Thanks for your help.

Exactly - you will have buyers who push for PP so you will have to discuss and teach them about CCNow.

Thanks for your help. | You have to sweeten them up to use other services.
Buyers are already brain-washed into 'doing' paypal.
May mean a drop in sales until you learn the methods.
Be careful of the category you list in as well. |

I'm thinking aswell, can I not just invoice buyers from my new paypal business account (not linked via ebay) instead of CCnow.
Thing is, other sellers are now starting to list this product too. This thing has a real limited life span. If I could just get another 100 sales, I'd be content, and move onto something else.
Would I get away with it if I linked an new business PP for 100 sales? Hmmmm.
I don't really care about the ebay account. Only about 200 feedback. Can start again easily enough.
Decisions, decisions....
The ultimate lesson in all of this is that I should have aged PP and EB accounts ready to rock when something like this happens. The old "it won't happen to me" was unfortunately in play in my previous strategy

Invoice from a new pp would STILL cause a link if pp sees that money is coming in for an eB auction...very easy link that can be manually reviewed and cause you problems for the new pp. I would not recommend this...

Frustration abounds, as I'm still not back up and selling.
I have a stealth skrill, that I set up ages ago, which thankfully has the same stealth as my ebay account. Account is CC verified, and will be address verified soon.
Trying to add skrill to my ebay.com account, is however, proving impossible.
When I try to add this to my the payment section within the auction, the little box underneath the paypal part, is untickable.
Looks like this:
(untickable box) Skrill ( Set up an account to receive payments through Skrill)
Clicking on that link redirects me to here: Process eBay payments with Skrill: The better eBay checkout gateway
As I am an existing customer, I click on the right corner part, which brings me to here: https://www.moneybookers.com/app/login.pl
I enter my correct details, and get this message:
"You are no longer able to login to our old website. Please go to the new improved Skrill website to login"
So I do that, and there is no mention of ebay anywhere on the site, or within the options.
I've searched on this for hours now, and it's driving me bananas.
Does anyone have any clue on what is going on here?

The Skrill you set up ages ago is probably not working from lack of use...you will need to make a new Skrill

I've made a new 'personal' skrill, and verified it with a VCC (not done bank or postal verification yet), and unfortunately the same problem persists.
I'll have to try opening a business account, as this seems to be the only way that I can receive a payment through ebay.
If skrill require customers to open a business account to casually receive ebay payments, no wonder they are majorily lagging behind paypal.

The new site is confusing with the old site regarding the linking to eB. If I remember right they want you to call them for the linking skrill-eB
