Default Has eBay bid system changed?

Recently, actually since last month i am encountering some problems.

I think there is a new system in place. I can only bid on certain amount of items. When i can no longer bid for the item, i come with a message to complete the transactions that i won. Once i complete the transaction then i would be allowed to bid.
Even when my basket is cleared and paid, i still have the bid limit in place.

This account is not new at all, it is i bid on alot of items, and this new system is really starting to annoy me.

Is ebay trying to get rid off bidding!

Has anyone come across this

haven't encountered it, do you bid on lots of items ?

or do you have any strikes for non payment or negatives recently

the plot thickens.................

do any of these apply -
Why does eBay limit buying activity?

We might limit a member's buying activity if we notice a change in their buying activity. For example:

We notice a sudden, large increase in the amount of items a member is buying
We notice a sudden, large increase in the price of the items a member is buying
We notice a new buyer is making many purchases or purchasing expensive items

Are a lot of these items from the same seller or the same group of sellers?

Plain and simple, you've been limited for risky bidding activity in their eyes and you probably aren't telling us the whole truth. Good luck.

I know when you dont have a paypal linked to your ebay you can only bid on one item at a time.

Your situation could be a glitch?

Really? Does anybody here tell the whole truth? Not nice to openly accuse another member. I would be offended if I needed help and thought I was being sincere and saw that inappropriate remark.

If you read my above post, it clearly states my account is in GOOD STANDING.

I buy loads of items. I have way over 5000 buyers feedback.
Real details. Never had these limits.

Now. I just been on live chat.
There is a new buyers bidding system in place.
So I do not know how many you have or would encounter this

Also. I come on this forum for help and advice, and in my way to help those If I can, although many more are more experienced than me.

Middle of December 2013, came across this. Noticed the below link

WARNING EBAY LINK

http://community.ebay.com/t5/Bidding...qaq-p/18590489

Did you get that attachment on your account at all?

In the course of your buying did you have any retractions of bids? Whilst that may be innocent to you, ebay may have flagged them. If your total of unpaid bids was deemed too high, plus retractions, this may be the reason.

During last December buyers were getting axed for too many returns too. Obviously, ebay changed the game to help only ebay

Is the account buying only? Let me know if this sheds some light on the issue.

Very worrisome - stealth buyer accounts would allow for more flexibility too.

Nothing has changed that I am aware of and I buy a lot of items off ebay but not 5000+ items.

If ebay sees anything suspicious it will raise a flag to the account.

Esp if you are buying in large clumps at a time.

I find a lot of items to re sell but no way have I come close to buying 5000+ items in many years.

What in the heck are you buying that you have purchased 5000+ items?

Lol Sandy

I buy a lot of items in office supplies, packaging, and some items that I resell. It is easy to come up with 5000 plus items if you buy a lot of supply.

In a month alone. I can come up with with many items that I buy and resell.

Anyway. A update. The reason is that firstly. My bank account needs to be verified. Since it was only a buyers account, I did not verifiy the bank. This has been sorted

Second thing was.
I think I had changed my delievery address. Never did that before. So eBay wanted to make sure it was indeed me.

This is all sorted. Just a weird limit. Never knew it existed.

Thanks for all your input.
Now I am back to bidding

Also. Calling up eBay is much faster response that eBay Live Chat. You would never get any help at all....

Then your account in 'good standing' did not quite meet the higher standards of ebay/paypal.

Non-verified payment source and address change flag accounts.....

Not all your boxes ticked with ebay.

Good Luck for future buying.

Smart that you verified the pp - that is likely the key issue in your past problem
