Just did a quick blurb for emailing for feedback.
Note the over use of "Positive" and the capital "P" for subconscious enforcement.

Let me know what you all think.......

Thank you very much for your recent purchase from [company name] on Amazon Canada. One of the most important parts of the Amazon experience is the Positive Feedback reporting. This is extremely important to new sellers as it helps Amazon to rate their sellers. If for any reason your recent purchase was not a Positive experience from [company name], please reply to this email to have any and all issues resolved. When you feel that you have had a Positive experience and are happy with your Purchase, could you please take a minute to leave seller feedback for [company name]. Feedback is only for seller rating, not product reviews. This can be done on the product page within Amazon. In case you are not familiar with the feedback system rating, here is how it works.

5 or 4: Positive Feedback—A Good/Great shopping experience, no issued unresolved
3:---neutral feedback---unresolved issues, not a good experience
2 or 1:---negative feedback, problems unresolved by seller, seller does not respond to questions

Thank you again for your purchase and we look forward to having you as a Positive, Happy, and repeat customer.

I thought that might be the case.
That's why I went this route. Ask for feedback and use the word 'positive' in another context.
Plus, explaining the feedback system quickly should avoid the "1 is for best rating" dummies.

Have you tried including something similar within the shipping package, sort of a packing slip?

I do this on all my items I send out and it can help.

It's waayy too long for modern attention spans. Get your point across in 3 or 4 sentences tops.

If you tell your customers that you are desperate for positive feedback because your feedback is below the amount that you sell and be down to earth with them, you will get a very high response ratio. You aren't directly asking for positive feedback either...

We put our business card in every order. On our cards it says:

Thank you for choosing (company name)!

Positive feedback is always greatly appreciated!

Then we send out a customer satisfaction/feedback email a day or two after they receive their order.

Still less than 10% feedback-to-sales ratio.

I would never ask customers for feedback. It can backfire.

Get your family and mates to buy a few things from you and leave feedback.It can be worth listing a few cheap things.
