Importing from china to USA

I just started having regular shipments come in from china..about 8K worth of merchandise from various suppliers.

I have only ever gotten 1 Import tax bill from DHL in the past 5-6 months and I thought this was odd? Do I need an import licensce?

I plan on going bigger sooner but wanted to hear from experienced sellers about this first.

here in the uk I do the same thing, i get import tax on about 25% of shipments, the rest "slip" through and I dont get taxed.

Depends on your actual business/category.

Be mindful of the possibility of needing state licenses.

Really you should speak to your accountant on issues like this.
