Default Ebay Does Help Sellers

Recently I won something on ebay, and because the final bid price was low the seller complained to ebay that the listing was supposed to have a reserve on it. There wasn't one, obviously. Well, ebay said ok and reversed my payment. That's a new one.

Seller wanted an additional $39 for the item.

Is the seller a very active seller with a lot of feedbacks?
I'm thinking there might have been a possibility that the seller did set a reserve but the eBay system glitched and didn't enable it for the listing.

Well, that's the story he's using, and no, it's just some random seller with less than 150+ feedback, who was just selling one item. I think he's a buyer who happens to sell the occasional item. Between the both of us I'm pretty certain I buy and sell much more seeing as I'm a "power seller."

Point though is how important was that item to you?

I wonder often if a purchase as a buyer is worth the angst

The point is that the seller had an auction up and likely didnt do the reserve pricing properly but eB still helped...

Think Bunny was closer to the facts.
