Hey just curious as to how other people on the forum keep their data safe
i personally use Aegis Secure Key Flash drive, that way if i ever lose it or my laptop gets stolen or house broken into (god forbid) my data will never be hacked ( needs a pin to activate the Flashdrive and after a certain amount of missed tries it completely erases and resets itself, not to mention if someone tries to physically break in it to recover the chip it will reset itself also), i also save 3 copies, one on my pc(encrypted), dropbox and the flashdrive
I know some of granpas and grandmas out there still use the ol paper and pen method to keep everything organized, but personally i prefer excel, they make it a breeze specially with Ctrl + F to look for same IPs and just more organized in general

Cloud storage (Google Drive actually)
Everything is in Excel formatted version and available to me anywhere (I can even access files through my phone's Drive app).
Also backup the information on a flash drive.

Yes i also like Cloud storage, (Dropbox) that way i could still access everything everywhere, iphone, ipad, macbook, pc
but i only keep top essential information on that (encrypted) just incase it ever gets hacked, i also back up my pc once every 3 months on my TB External HDD
so basically like 4/5 back ups
i also have a Emergency Battery,
Thunderstorms and light outtages in my area are common, not to mention something called hurricanes and tornadoes
so just in case a light pole comes down im still able to work | The Following User Says Thank You to Gman91189 For This Useful Post: | |

I do a back up every week.
In the 'real woorld' that I sometimes am forced to visit, we do them nightly.... security reasons.
Recently had issues with interruption to power supplies as well. Need back-ups to hand to stay on top of business |

Save all the details of each stealth in a Word document and then email that to myself at the end of each day. Word document use an encryption key to scramble the words on the page and need a password to unscramble it. Simple but works well
I also keep a written copy of all the details of each stealth in a safe at the house. Nice and old fashioned there

I'm a google drive person as well. Can access the date where ever I am via iPad or desktop. Back up to a separate HD and have a hard copy of all account details.
Loosing the data is not an option!

I keep all my info on the fridge with refrigerator magnets. Name, address, phone number, vcc, bank account, lengthy list of IPs. We have about 20 refrigerators now, and it really sucks when the kids move the magnets around.
I actually keep mine saved on computer and steno pad. |

I use word documents - back them up - keep them sorted. Dont need ultra stealth ways - laptop goes nowhere.

For my few stealths I use to write down everything... and I mean EVERYTHING.
Date of creation, VCC used and who sold it to me.
When the first selling happened and of course all the personal data of the stealth account.
It is a simple word document that I backup on my google drive.
For the accounts, I use virtual machines that I periodically backup, at least one copy.

Funny thing this thread got started. I'm starting to hear some clanking coming from my hard drive and I'm cloning it as we speak. I had all my data on my shared documents on my xp, and well, you can imagine if I can't access anymore. Go figure this thread came up. It's like we are all one mind.

Too many old questions of people losing info - the point is: must write all down in one way or another.
