LLC privacy
I'm forming an LLC and I'd like to keep as much of my personal information private as possible. I realize that if your LLC gets sued or if the IRS wants to know something, they will get all of your info. I'm just trying to minimize the amount of data that is available to the random person with an Internet connection. Please add any privacy tips you can share with us.
Obviously, the most important thing is to hire a registered agent service. Many people list themselves as the registered agent; as a result their home address is available on the Secretary of State website for anyone to find with a 30-second search.
What I'm wondering about is the LLC's "organizer". Some states list the organizer's name and address in the LLC's listing on the SOS website. If I hire a service to register my LLC (like Legalzoom), can they be listed as the organizer?
