21 day hold on below standard account
 

I have an account that is about to go below standard... 500+ transactions this year..99.5 Feedback 4.9+ DSR ratings on all 4 categories. It will go below standard because its .02% over the DSR rating for item as described and Ive only gotten 2 of them this year. Next month I will be going from Below Standard to TRS at my current pace. Tax ID on file with this account as well.

From what I understand, 21 day hold goes into effect once I go Below standard... Any chance I can talk them into removing it for this month?

No you cannot talk out of the holds.
It is automated, and put in place when they start to see you as a 'risk'

Worst part of falling below standards is that ebay often cuts your limits as well, far worse than the hold IMO. The hold is almost never 21 days, but around a week if you supply tracking and prove delivery and no case is opened. International is 21-27 days under most circumstances. If you do a lot of international, paypal will advice not loading tracking so funds get released at 21 days. If you load tracking and tracking does not show delivery they can hold funds up to 27 days.

Maybe you should call in, because from what your describing your account cannot be below standard.not with 4.9 in DSR for every category and 99% feedback, there's no way that can be below standard

Are you looking at what your account would be if it was on the new system ? Because they are showing that in the seller dashboard but it will not go into affect until Aug 20

Possibly with the new system as crazy as that is with your great scores it may be below standard come Aug 20 , because now every case opened regardless of how it's resolved or whether u fix any issues and still receive 5star DSR s and positive feedback if a case was opened than its an imperfect order

But your account should not be below standard with the scores you have shown here

If you call in, you do run the risk of a) ID verification request or (even worse) b) your account could be suspended if you come across weirdo agents.

International does not count towards USA metrics so not loading tracking to ebay/paypal BUT sending the customer the tracking details via message will not have any negative effect of USA DSR or metrics.
LOAD TRACKING for ALL USA orders to gets funds faster.

I am at 1.03% DSR score for item as described for ...that puts me below standard for my April 20th eval...I have 280 transactions this month without a single low DSR score but I guess this month doesnt count towards the 4/20 eval.... the 5/20 I will be a TRS....

I dont care about being below standard because I know it wont last long...the 21 Day holds is going to really hurt my cash flow

The PP account is Tax ID verified and the account is already ID verified so we are good in those aspects.

That is not a free pass if you get an agent that dislikes the state of the account.

Never assume you are 'good in those aspects' in this game.

What happened that you lost ground?

Make sure you avoid repeating this.

Then don't worry about it at all if this is true "I have 280 transactions this month without a single low DSR score " because ebay also states that if you have 400 transactions under 3 months time they'll rank your score based on 3 months time frame and not 12 months if you have 400! :)

So just wait it out till the next month.

Well my experience, you have 3 months to get out of lower standard, so don't screw up till then, always treat it customer as your last, because that how things can flip fast on ebay, you get punish for selling off there standards,
bad is the hold, worst is the item limit get reduce, if you don't improve you selling account can get closed and you can only buy things,
so be worried about this, but you have 3 months to fix it, if you get worse and worse, you can be gone in less than 3 months,

***my standard if customer complains about shipping time, give a little discount, like 3-4 dollars, without them asking. if item is damage, replace it and give discount. May be a lost short term, got think long term. so they dont leave bad feedback, or positive with low marks in shipping or item description.

Feedback is like gold, negative feedback or low selling ratting can cause hundreds in lost sale or even thousands... so those few discounts are kicker to make the customer happy!
