eBay asking me to clear up an odd Paypal issue
 

I got an MC011 recently on a solid seller account and eBay asked me to resolve a limitation with Paypal. I did all that and my Paypal is back up an running (usual verify invoices, etc.). I let eBay know and they sent me an email back (unable to talk to anyone about it over the phone - and I tried) saying:

We reviewed your account this morning and at this time see that your PayPal account, account number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, is still restricted at this time. We do require all sellers to keep both their eBay accounts and PayPal accounts in good standing, even if they do not use PayPal as their primary payment source. When accounts are restricted, it poses a certain level of risk that we are not comfortable with.

The X's are actually 19 numbers and not an email or anything.

Anyone have experience with this? Certainly a new one for me.

Sorry to top this, but just curious if anyone knows how I should proceed. I haven't heard back since my last reply to eb.

Sounds like yet another system glitch.

Try contacting ebay by email again?

Are you certain your paypal has no limitation any longer?

Yea. I double checked it. They even gave me a case number that is no where to be found on my Paypal. I'm really confused as why they would give me an account number that's 19 digits long. I didn't think Paypal used account numbers and also can't find any reference of that number anywhere on Paypal. Oy.

Thank you for your help... Apparently, I was linked to an account I have no association with. Now that will be a fun conversation. So much for living in an apartment complex.

Ugh Duster - the perils of apartment complex...try calling but aim for new unlinked stealth accounts...use different address then

Yikes. Nasty shock there.
Always a peril having an apartment address. Someone often has a burned paypal/ebay account.

It's like people suggesting to add an apartment number that does not exist....

Fails too often now.
