Having 10+ Ebay Accounts from 1 PC?

Is it possible to sell from 10 ebay accounts using a single PC? I am worried that if I change my IP address everytime I log into a new account, ebay will get suspicious or am I worrying too much.

Here We Go Again 09-30-2008 02:32 PM

Yes it is possible. You have to know what you are doing.
All the needed information is provided in the Stealth Guide and also in this forum if you do some research.

John14789 09-30-2008 02:35 PM

You simply have to have different windows user accounts for each ebay account. That way all cookies are kept seperate from each account. The only thing you have to keep track of is the ip address for each account. Its wise to write down the ip address you logged on with.

aking 09-30-2008 02:47 PM

Yes, for some reason I am having trouble switching user accounts. I have created 4 and cant get into them. When I log out, it never gives me an option to log into a different user account.

John14789 09-30-2008 02:57 PM

If your having problems switching user accounts then turn off the computer and go into the accounts like that.

If the problem persists then simply reformat the computer and make new user accounts. When you reformat remember to back up all your information.

Yes, I'll play around with it tonight. However, my PC is kind of old. I may just invest in a new laptop with my ebay profits and start fresh! :)

aspkin 09-30-2008 07:57 PM

Ah, Old PCs...

I seem to buy a new PC every year or so. I'm on a 2 month old laptop, Sony VAIO, it's nice. :)

aking 09-30-2008 11:04 PM

Well I figured it out. Made 2 more ebay accounts on 2 different user accounts. Thanks! :)

Hopefully I will be getting a new laptop as well! :)

I never understood the point of having 2 screens??

Sometimes I use two screens, one 30" and one 24".

Ok, so you can access 2 ebays accounts at the same time on 1 PC?

Multiple accounts around same city?

Hi,
is it a good idea to set up say 10 new ebay accounts in a period of about 1 week, all of them with addresses in the same city, say, chicago, or denver, or la, etc.?, or it would be too suspicious to ebay?

Thanks.

Juicyas 11-27-2008 11:30 AM

take it slower than that

2 screens.... 1 with your web browser/MSN, 1 with photo/web editing

or 1 with everything computer related and 1 playing your latest pr0n downloads :)

2 Monitors going at the same time = Nerd Alert! Just kidding

I used to think thatd be nice but linking two monitors to one computer looks like a headache to me.

Hottest_eBay_Goddess 11-28-2008 04:29 PM

You just need two video cards. It is good screen space especially if you run a lot of applications at one time...it can be a lifesaver, huh Modee? :)

so, is it better then to set up the 10 new accounts in diferent cities,
for instance, 2 in chicago, 2 in new york, 2 in la, 2 in denver, and 2 in new orleans? again all of them in a period of 1 week.

would this set up still be suspicious to ebay?

There are thousands of new ebay accounts created everyday, let alone in your city. I doubt ebay will be able to track it if you follow the stealth guide. :)

Yes, I now use 2 screens, and I am thinking about going to 3 soon. And yes, I have been called a nerd before. :) I consider myself a cool nerd. :D

2 monitors is easy as..

Most video cards come with 2 plugs you can plug one monitor into each... no need for 2 video cards.

aking 01-02-2009 12:33 AM

do I HAVE to change user accounts when opening new accounts? I think I am going to buy a few new laptops for ebay selling.

John14789 01-02-2009 03:15 AM

Just create a new user account for every ebay/paypal account you open. There is absolutely no need for you to get a few laptops just to sell on ebay.

oompaloompa 01-05-2009 01:20 PM

dont know if Im on exact right thread, but ive got a few going, keeping to multiple user screens, and not linking in any way I hope!

Checking before accessing each account, that you are not linking becomes second nature.

Except, I have one admission, the password for my email is the same for all my email accounts BUT i have typed that in on quite a few of my paypal passwords by mistake!!!

It is not actually paypal password, its a different word, so will not link to another pp acc, but will that be noted, and all pp that have had that typed in be linked, dya think?

tonyaphx 01-07-2009 03:35 PM

I find that running multi accounts is a big headacke I only have 3 seller and 6 buyer and it's hard to keep track so I am going back to one an letting those sit. You have to have mad skills to run 10 or more and only sleep a few hours a day I guess.

Here We Go Again 01-07-2009 03:47 PM

Please add your flag to your account here.
eBay/Paypal rules vari by country.
Go to your "User CP" and list your location.
This helps since eBay/Paypal Rules are different by country.
Thanks

I have so many running, I KNOW at some point I will put the wrong password in, one for a different account...

I have done this numerous times...never a problem.

Here We Go Again 01-11-2009 02:02 PM

Every eBay account I am currently running and have ran in the past 1.5 years have ALL had the same exact password.
I have not been linked to a suspended account in over 2 years.

Now on a different note....
Every Paypal account I have or have had ALL have different passwords.

If I create a new user on my PC do I have to clean all cookies and Flash objects before embarking on creating a new stealth account please? OR I don't have to worry about this at all?

Thank you...

drgonzo2k2 02-05-2010 02:53 PM

If you create a TOTALLY NEW user account on your PC, you do not have to clean the cookies and flash objects before proceeding.

a different user means you dont have to clear anything, it is all held in one place on that screen, just make sure you only use screen for that one ebay paypal pairing

one account, multiple IP's. Suspicious or not?

So I've created my first stealth account but it occurs to me that if everytime I log into my account and use a different ip, wouldn't that look suspicious to ebay? Why is it that everytime this guy logs in, it's a different ip?

I am using an aircard to access internet so every day that I disconnect and reconnect, I am getting a new ip.

BTW, this I think is the perfect way to resolve the ip issue when making stealth accounts! Just need to keep good track of ip usage so as not to cross-contaminate accounts in case of a previously used ip coming up.

But does anyone know the answer to my question? :help:

lakeman 03-15-2010 04:23 PM

No, that is not suspicious. Same thing happens with dial up, nothing to worry about. :typing:

naming user accounts

Does anyone know if eBay tracks Windows user account names? For example, if one is creating many eBay accounts, each with a different windows user account that has a sequential number (EB1, EB2, EB3, ...EB100 etc.), can eBay identify this? Ie., can Ebay read or know the user account name? Thanks

Absolutely impossible.

My answer is: not yet.

Other companies can, and do. Google and Amazon....

wormsrmagic 03-26-2010 04:07 PM

If Google and Amazon are able to track Windows user account names, why then doesn't eBay or Paypal I wonder?

OfiicialGenius posted that it is "absolutely impossible".

Certainly this is a "serious" question. Any more thoughts or experience?

newtools 05-01-2010 10:25 PM

just make your windows user name & vmware name match or similar to what name and infos you are using on that ebay & pp acct.

HurricaneHuntr 05-16-2010 04:17 PM

I use same l/p for every account, doing so otherwise would be a pain in the ass... Not to mention, all that stuff is encrypted, this is why they reset your password instead of telling you. Mostly because super secure systems like ebay/paypal nobody has access to the "password" file like old school linux days. It's all encrypted as soon as you press submit. And the file on their machine is encrypted, can you imagine if it wasn't ? It'd be hacked daily.

All of your accounts are linked if you use the same ip address for every account. When one goes down, they all go down. Then you will realize it was not a pain to make sure it is different.
