MC999 xxx, changes to your eBay seller limits

background , 0/0 seller account, called in, had it upped to 10/1000 created and "reinstated" as they call it about jan 25th 2014, sold 10 items february, march, april and may. About a week or so ago, it was upped to 100 items /5000 i of course listed and sold more items. Sold 31 total in may.Feedback is 5.0 in all categories, except shipping time 4.9 probably a moron who doesn't know how slow 1st class usps is now. Anyway, 19 feedback, 19 dsrs. Checked phone, no missed calls. Anytime i've had these messages before, they have never increased the account past this limit ever. So i guess i will be stuck at 22 items indefinitely, annoying for sure, but i guess better than 10, i just don't understand how to get 100 item accounts without doing stuff you SHOULDN'T be doing, eg.. faxing eBay stuffs

Hello xxxxxx,

After reviewing your account, we've made the decision to reduce your monthly selling limits or set a selling limit if you did not have one before. You can now sell up to 22 items and up to $500.00 a month, whichever comes first. Each month your account is reviewed automatically, and if you are able to maintain a positive selling history, your limits may be increased. To check your sales and monthly selling limits, go to the "All Selling" section of My eBay.

Keep in mind that registering new accounts or selling with other existing accounts to avoid selling limits or other policy consequences is a violation of eBay polices.

Re: MC999 xxx, changes to your eBay seller limits

The following is all 100% my opinion and some of it comes from the tinfoil hat I wear on a daily basis -

31 is not enough to increase your average sales.

eB is giving you what they think you need, and they don't think you need more than 22/500. You need to prove them wrong.

You will not be stuck at 22/500 forever. They do reevaluate every month as they say they do, and if you cap yourself out every month you're going to get another bump.

Also, with #'s... I find a lot of crazy coincidences with the numbers of feedback, the numbers of sales, and the amount of selling increase I receive.

I've had accounts that have 35 sales and 10 feedback that get limits increased to 35/1000 (the exact number of my number of sales). And Ive seen similar relationships to amount of feedback received as a % of my total sales. If I have 10 fb and 20 sales, I'll have an account go to 50/2500 (exactly 50% of 100/5,000, which is also my fb : sales ratio)

The answer is: who the hell knows? Cap out your limits every month and make more accounts and you'll be good in the long term.

Man oh man... It is so easy to get 100/5000 limit increase. I have opened accounts and immediately had them increased to 100/5000. All you have to do is THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. I didn't say think illegally, I said, THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Research in other places than just here too. The internet is a wealth of knowledge.
