So I've been pretty persistent with ING Direct for months now. I just like the ability to open accounts and use them right away without any problems. That is until I linked ING to a PayPal account under a different name. They do not like that at all and I knew that already, but I didn't have problems with another account under a different name so I didn't think it was a big deal. Wrong..
The very next morning after PayPal sent the verification deposits I got a call from ING, they asked me about recent deposits not in my name. I told them I opened a PayPal account under a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name because I didn't trust PayPal, etc and they said okay, just to update my PayPal details to match my ING account.
Basically update my name on the account and I would be fine.
They don't mind people using PayPal or any other online service, they just want the funds to come in YOUR name, or a similar name I found.
For example Bob is okay for Bobby, or Tom and Tommy
As long as the name is a nickname, I use nicknames a lot.
I just thought I let people know if you still wanted to use ING.
They're not dead if you follow their rules, and their rules are don't do business in other people's names.
