Default VPN Dedicated IP vs VPS

What is the general opinion about the use of VPS and VPN with dedicated, fresh and unused IP?

I need to be "based" in another country. I'm not sure if I should get a new fresh, unused and Dedicated IP from a VPN service, or try out one of these VPS-systems.

Some sellers of accounts give private IP that was used to establish the account. Whilst others do fully unlimited accounts, but you have to continue using it and establishing cookies from a new IP and user.

VPN companies are high risk. Why do you think IP will be unused? It's just a marketing trick, otherwise they will be making a loss.

I'm a bit interested in why VPNs are high-risk, because there are different opinions on the matter. I am currently about to buy an account from someone on the forum that also provide the IP address used to create it.

The general opinion from what i read here is VPN is risky and VPS is less riskier than VPN.

Okay can someone explain this to me, maybe I am missing something here...

You say that using VPN is risky ... Okay ....

So when I use my ISP aren't all IPs I use are also used by others? I am pretty sure a lot of others who use my ISP also log into their eBay and PayPal accounts. So if one of their accounts was to get suspended and then I happen to use the same IP they were suspended with, would that suspend me too? I doubt that ... Pretty sure by now I would have used someone's suspended IP ...

VPS is good. Make sure you have 256MB on it to operate your eb account.

It's all you need. They are low as $4 per month. I got 4 dozen of these.

This is part of the reason why I am wondering as well. IPs will get recycled if its your ISP or VPN provider. And nobody offers any real concrete points to why VPS is more secure, except from the fact that some VPNs do public IPs. But even logging on such a VPN with a public-used IP would me absolute complete madness in any case.

Anyway, I will be getting a VPS set and start operating from that just. It also adds some privacy, as I connect to the VPS using a VPN.

You can't get shut down just because you use a previously used IP by someone who was suspended. You have to meet several requirements to trigger a manual review or suspension.

Sometimes if paypal/ebay are looking and an account is flagged, the same IP being used could be a problem.

I guess they won't shut down your account just because you used an IP that was already used by another ebay user who was also shut down however like others here said it will raise a red flag and your account might be reviewed manually. The more red flags you accumulate the more chance there is for linking your account with another one of yours or someone's. I was once linked to another suspended account that wasn't mine because I used FLYNumber which was used by someone else and their account was suspended. They asked me to send documents, invoices and such but thankfully I passed and was reinstated.

Why is a private, dedicated and "fresh" IP from a VPN less likely to have been used than the VPS ip? They all cycle IPs.

They claim when you buy their Fresh IP it hasn't been used by anyone before. Basically it is reserved to you only and is not a shared ip.

Equally a VPS IP can be used as well. They don't even claim to have unused IPs.
