ok so I just created 1 account and got 5/$500 limit but when I try to list my first item and ebay is asking to verify identity and have 2 options, 1) link a verified paypal account or 2) add a bank and verify. of course i havent attach any bank to my paypal yet. but looks like i have to in order to list anything

Its always a good idea to have your PayPal account set up and attached before selling. Setting up the PP as far as you can (credit card, VBA, etc) is also a good idea.

Ok I will help the best I can without divulging all my secrets lol.
I have distinct steps, I follow every time and it works.
I make an ebay account first, like if I bid or try to buy. Then I make a paypal account, I add the credit card. And I initiate the $1.95 charge for th code. Obviously I can not confirm right away but I at least get it started. Then I attach the paypal to the ebay account. I will try to list something first before making it a seller ebay account. I let ebay prompt me to do it. Do the phone call for their code, follow through and attach paypal as my payment method. And Wallah! You have a seller account.

I obviously do other things, its the little things that count. My best advice is DO NOT RUSH. If you are in a hurry to make the accounts do not make any till you have the time and patience.

You have to have to have to!!! Act like a new person. You do not have to act like a stupid clueless person but you should act like what you are "to them" a new ebayer and new seller. Research stuff on their help pages, watch some videos. Look up the items you are trying to sell so you can see the seller market. And DO NOT list high dollar or high risk items. Low risk lower dollar is better in the first month or so of the account.

So, I saved up my stealth in August, because I know that by Christmas, mc999 off the hook. Has it cooled yet?

In October and November I was loosing accounts like crazy. I went from having over 50 to just above 20. Soooo it was not fun.

Of course some stupid stuff on my own but not all of it due to that.
As of now I have not lost an account in 3 weeks so I think it has finally cooled down. But dont quote me on it lol

Happy new year 2015 everyone! Im just returning to stealth after a long while working in the real world, now im just roaring to get back! Ive been on this forum since 2007, and quite some experience with stealth in the past, but as time passes and technology and EB evolve...

damn this MC999. still havent able to get a single 10/1000 accounts. all ones Ive made so far getting 0/00 (0 for 3 so far)

so far, i am suspecting that it is because:
1) use of ded. IP VPN. however, i always geolocate the IP, and make the account with address and googlevoice phone number from the same vicinity, so I dont know if that can be the problem
2) so far, ive tried both real house address, as well as apartment address. both same result, however, i've read that using apartment address leads to 0/00, so not sure if that may be contributing to it.
3) all accounts are more than 1 week registered, with solid browsing history, made 1-2 bids on, before trying to turn in to a seller account. 80% verified (VCC+VBA) PP attached and linked to eB before attempting to list 1st item

basically, every time so far, ive tried to list 1st item, gets taken to the page where it calls (or text) you to confirm identity, pass that, then update seller payment method (paypal), and takes you to paypal to agree to the terms, and after doing that, returns to eB, and then (sometimes the page times out), BAM! 0/00. and if the listing successfully goes through first then it gets removed with a MC999 email.

can someone shed some light on this as I'd really like to join the club where I can squeeze out some 10/1000 accounts from the get go. unfortunately, I dont have access to a real physical USA IP via dongle or DSL since I'm in Canada, so that leaves VPN only solid option for me. but having a dedicated IP should work well.

good news is so far (fingers and toes crossed) i was able to get the 0/00 accounts back with the limits changed to 10/1000 or higher, so its all good that way. what can i say, im people friendly and can talk up a storm.

Welcome back and although experience always always helps, ebay has become a different beast as of late.

If you read in full, actually several times, the threads on 0/0 limits you will get many tips and clues on how to stream line your process and have it be successful 9 out of 10 times.

I know you are in CA so I am not sure what makes it different for you, but for USA I am a firm believer, name must match the zip code and a real carrier phone number. No free services. HOPE THAT HELPS!

yeah, i ve done just exactly that (read this LONG thread like 10 times), and yes indeed, there is indeed alot of bits of info that is very valuable for stealth. thanks everyone for the great input!

Been getting many 5/500 accounts lately.. Is ebay handing more of those often now? What can be triggering this? I am using tracfone , name matches zip code , using tethering from my iPhone device. Zip code match address on one vanilla card.

this thread is long, but there are people that have posted step by step methods with screen shots on how to get 10/1000. I've used their methods and they worked for me. Just need to read.

I actually just made a few two days ago and 3 today. Got mostly 5/500 and 10/1000.

I actually got one that did not say any selling limits at all, the numbers where just not there. Even though I did make a successful listing. Soooo I wonder if that mean I am "without limits" I know technically all accounts have some sort of limits. But as far as showing the 5/500, 10/1000 so on its not there.

Any thoughts?

For those with 5/500, how is your best match search results? I once had 10/500, and they would put me all the way on the bottom.

I all most always get the MC999 on the first item I list on a new account.
A few times it has happened on the second listing but most times it will always be the first.

I wait between 3-4 weeks then post a cheap item from around home, have a closet full...I then wait till I get paid and the money is cleared. Let the money sit in paypal and then list another item. I will continue to do that until my limits are raised and then proceed to slowly ad in my regular items.

Before I start to make any real money on my accounts and before I start to withdraw regularly I will buy a few items using that stealth paypal account.

Now I am by know means a expert at any of this, BUT I have noticed and I do believe that this setup I use gives a lot of credibility to my accounts.

I turn it into a seller without listing anything. I usually wait 3-4 days with browsing and bidding. After that I list a low risk item.

Ya it definitely is. I made another 10 accounts over the last 2 weeks, all but one was 5/500
Sooo I think that is a new permanent thing. I did notice though a few accounts I made about 45 days ago have gotten their limits lifted to either 20 or 30 items a months. So it seems like they changed the extremely long wait time for the increase. As long as you maintain good account standings and feedback, shipping time, no complaints so on you get your limits lifted pretty quickly.

I feel like the initial limit as been lower, but the increases have come at a faster rate. I have one account that has been increased 3x already and have only 14 items total with 9 feedback. Started at 10..up to 180.

Hadn't made any accounts in a few weeks but did 10 today to see how things were. Glad to see not a single 0/0 but there were 8/10 5/500 and 2/10 10/1000.

Luckily in my experience the 5/500's are quicker to increase than the 10/100, and I've had several of the 5/500's end up at 270/27000 in just 60 days.

I also listed on 2 of my new accounts right after creating. 12 hours later and still no MC. I'll slowly list on the other 8 over the next few days. Wish I didn't need them selling yesterday and had time to rest them more.

I made 2 accounts the other day and got 10/1000 limits on both. I also turned an old buyer account from 2010 into a seller account and it also got 10/1000 limits.

I do. Finished another 10 accounts the other day. 4/10 were 10/1000 and 6/10 were 5/500.

Ive noticed that if you attach a gift card to ebay directly when setting up seller account, you never get 0/0, but when you attach entropay to paypal then attach paypal(no vba) to seller account when setting up, you will 50 percent of the time get 0/0
And for ppl in the U.S its unfortunate that we can cant attach entropay directly, since they always suspend you for having a card from diffrent country
Its ok with paypal not ebay

Anybody know the exact reason why attaching paypal to seller account its always a miss or hit of getting the 0/0?

Ok, what does everyone mean when they say don't make your ebay account a seller account first, I didn't know there was an option or button to push that determines what your account is? Please explain someone

Yes, by setting up the payment for fees to cc instead of paypal, thats only because with a unverified paypal it was sometimes a hit or miss

When you create an Ebay account, they give you the option to select either Seller account or Personal account

When you initially make the account, if you are making it just to bid on items or pretend to send in best offers so on. Then its just a BUYER account.
Its not till you go to list an item that it walks you thru extra steps such as confirming your phone number with either a text or a phone call, then follows thru to confirm how you would like to pay your ebay fees, such as paypal so on.
Once you do all that it will lead you back to your listing and let you know if it was successful if it was now you have a seller account.

Also you can go to ebays help pages and search how to make a seller account and you can make a seller account without actually listing anything yet.
