0/0 limits on new accounts nonstop now
 

I've been having very good success making stealth ebay accounts that are unverified. The past 2 months I've made 20 accounts and have successfully sold on them - and they are still thriving, many of them with limit increases.

However, now every stealth account I make gets a message stating I have a selling limit of 0/0 whenever I go to list my first item. Being as though these are unverified accounts, I am guessing this is the reason why? Just so weird how ebay will let me bang out 20 of them without an issue, then start issuing me this 0/0 limit nonstop. I've had it hit 6 out of the last 8 accounts I went to create. Sad to see so many accounts go down.

Anyone else having a run of this 0/0 problem? I'm going to go back to verifying my paypal accounts and see how that goes for the time being. Wish me luck :)

Right, you'll want to have a verified PayPal account otherwise you'll have a higher chance at 0/0 limits.. this is happening more and more.

damn just worked forever getting everything setup and i get this 0/0 even tried calling in before giving up they just said computer cant find any public records so i would have to fax in a id to unlock so is this account just trash I mean verifying pp still wouldnt help huh

I've gotten past without verifying Paypal accounts (logic being, whenever I finally get a sale I will add a bank account eventually). The 0/0 limits in my opinion is due to bad info or linking info..

Have you tried making accounts today??

I made accounts Saturday, Sunday and Monday and verified paypal or not 0/0 limits

Today Tuesday all day from 2 am till I made my last account today at 8pm things were back to normal and getting 10/1000 limits

I think this was just something stupid eBay was doing the last few days but the window seemed to close

Agreed with bad info or linking.. there are a number of factors that contribute to 0/0 limits I'm finding..

This was definitely something different the last week Aspkin, I haven't had a problem making an account for a year no mc999 nothing, but I started making accounts Saturday same as normal and 0/0 limits on everyone

But today everything has been back to normal

Exactly, I had 1 account with 0/0 limits before this week (in my history of making accounts). This week alone I had more than 1

I think this is something new they are doing

Yea just another curve or some bad idea that they tried out, whatever it was it seems to have ended and things are back to normal

Hey dmshark, i just tried to make two stealth accounts earlier this evening and yeah, i got the 0/0 on both accounts.

I use addresses that actually exist, i dont make them up.

The names i make up but i dont use uncommon or unheard of names. I wouldnt be able to pass a database test but it's not like i use some crazy name that doesn't exist.

I dont verify paypal but i do confirm it with vcc and 1.95 deposits. I link paypal to ebay.

Just weird how i am getting slammed with this 0/0 over and over the past two weeks but everything has been fine before that.

i had the same thing happen to me. i called up ebay and they told me that i had 0 out of 0 because i all ready used up my selling points. i told them i have never sold on here be for. then they were asking me the stupid id questions. i did not pass them but they told me i can call them again in 24 hours and try again. maybe it was a ebay glitch or something you never now with them. then the next day i made another acc and have no problems . i made a 7 day test listing lke i always do and so fare so good. this was a ebay personal account. the first one i made that was getting 0 out of 0 was a business acc. see the only thng that i can think of is if you make a new acc and you make a ebay business acc maybe they shut you down faster not sure any one have something to say ???

The limits are strange. I got an account under 3 months old. Sold 3 items and today I just got an email saying they are giving me from $500 to $800 limit and still got 10 items per month?

Then another account that got verified 2 months ago paypal emailed me saying to verify my credit card. Really? I already sold the items on it. I think it's just a really really late email.

I ran into some issues with 0/0 probably last week or the week before. Kind of a bummer, although I assumed the phone numbers or some information I used was just bad (probably, switched to different phone numbers and have been clear so far). Been having luck with 10/1000 yesterday and today. Right now, I'm just making accounts every other day.

Judging from the wait times on some of these calls (some in excess of an hour), anything new would've been a complete waste of customer service resources. Ebay either needs to change their website again or stop being cheap and giving everyone headaches by requesting these processes unofficially over the phone. There is still nothing on the website that states these type of procedures. As soon as I hit 0/0 in creation, I just move on. Verification is an excuse for something else, not a requirement.

the 0/0 selling limit is caused due to system verification.

I got this on a account and I know exactly why. it was a address variation I used and the address could not be verified in the setup auto system check.

I can buy stuff all day long but I can not sell because I used the variation.

this may be your culprit

This was happening to me at first, but the reason is because of this. When you get ready to list your first item, and they try to send a pin to your phone number, if you change your phone number, they are going to hit you with the 0/0 selling limits. I always change my number by going to my ebay summary, and then i will go list my item andi have had no problem. Let me know what you all think and have to say

ok, when i first make my ebay account i use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number. After 30 days and i get ready to list on it, i use this app called textplus, and i get a number for verification. I then first go to my ebay summary and go to personal information and change my phone number to whatever my textplus number is. Then when i get ready to list, they send the pin to my textplus number. You can change your number as many times as you want using textplus

Why risk using a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number , just use your Textplus phone number from the start when you create the account

if you make 30 accounts in one day, you cant use 30 textplus numbers, you can only use one at a time, so what number would you give them??

You can make as many Textplus accounts as you want all with a different number, I made 10 stealth accounts yesterday and created 10 Textplus accounts , so I had 10 phone numbers one for each stealth

yeah I keep the same phone number from beginning of account creation to the end. i use text plus, send hub, google voice, sometimes tracphones. I have gotten the 0/0 using each of these services, so I doubt it's that.

Also, while i don't have access to my address, it isn't one that is made up. It's an existing address that should appear in whatever database ebay uses.

I thought verifying my paypal would help, but it seems like many people who do verify their paypal are still getting hit with this.

I'm going to cool off with account making for the rest of the week and try again next week. Hopefully things are different. I'll throw in a couple verified pay pals to see if it makes any difference.

Got the same issue too. Recently tried to make an account with a verified PP. Still got hit with the 0/0 Limits. Anyone got a solution?

Just sharing information here. I also got hit with 0/0.
I verified the pp first, and I sell right away.

First, I thought it might be the item I tried to sell is a bit high value. ($59)
But when I read the post here, I assume that might not be the problem.

Same for me today.
The account was created on Aug 26, 2013 and paypal verified last year too.

Today I wanted to start selling with this account and tried to list a book.
Then they want me to update my mobile, and then setting up how to pay ebay, I then choose Paypal.

After the whole process I was directed back to the listing and got 0/0 limit.
I always used VPS for this account..

I just got a bunch of these as well on some accounts made over a month ago and fully verified. Cant really find the common thread as to why. Some come up 0/0 before I even list. Interesting problem, hopefully we can figure out why. Going to make some more today and test variations.

Seems to be that even if you have paypal verified you need to call up ebay as well to make sure you are a real person or to verify it fully maybe? IT could be something VERY new since everyone has it.

Anyone take a call to them to find out some info or restore the 10/$500 limits yet?

Try to create an account utilize a different ISP. And report your results.

I actually did call on one of the accounts just a few minutes ago. They tried to verify my ID through public database. They only focused on the address, which is real just not in my name. In the end they wanted docs sent in, so that kills that account, for now.
