Weird suspension
 

I just created an account and listed a used book. Today received mc999 your account has been suspended. Anyone ever seen an account get suspended so fast?

Followed all steath rules, Im guessing maybe the address I used or something was blacklisted.

Did they ask you to call with in 48 hours in the email?

If they are simply asking for account verification (as to what Tony is alluding to), then yes, this is normal.

In those cases, they just want to verify and confirm who you say you are.

If the MC999 says something to the effect, we feel you are promoting an unsafe environment...blah, blah, blah. Then that is an account death sentence.

Post your MC999 email (with your information removed) and we'll confirm for you.

No its not that one. I have dealt with that one many times. Its the MC999 Your account has been permanently suspended.

I'm just curious if anyone else has ever had that happen right off the bat. The other two accounts that I made with it last night were fine and already selling.

I figured I just listed too fast or it just got linked to some other suspended account somehow due to pulling a random address off zillow.

I'm just going to move on from it but just wanted to add the info to the forum

It is the new norm.

Many threads on the forum relating to it.

Following their instructions to resolve the issue works for most.

Thanks greenbean. I did see that as well but I figure i'll probably just let that account be. They are too easy to make to deal with being on hold with ebay for any period of time.

Maybe just something new they're doing as well or its just a glitch.
