Got my new account reinstated!

Just wanted to tell you guys that after I opened a brand new account and was suspended right away after listing a cheap item (I still don't know why it was suspended), I called and they reinstated my account! Do you think I could maybe get my original account reinstated with my real info?

why was your real acct suspended? was you doing anything wrong on the real account?

congrats on the reinstatement. Thats the standard for new accounts though. im assuming you got the 48 hours to call email? Answer a few questions and they lift the restriction.

In all likelihood, you will NOT be able to get your original account back... but it never hurts to try depending on WHY the original account was banned.

Nope, just listed one cheap item (a video game). Still no clue why. When I called I just asked why, and then he said "let me see what I can do to reinstate your account" so I was like "OK!"

Yea he just asked me what I will be planning to sell in the future and like my personal info as well.

So it's not a suspension rather "call us in 48 h" to lift your limitation?

Yea they been doing this mc999 even more often now, I never used to get them , went a whole year and not one

I'll even call confirm the account get limits and list the first item same cheap low risk I'd always list and I would need to call right in sometimes 10 minutes after already speaking to a rep

That's why I'm thinking it must be the accounts that I'm using a VOIP like Textplus or pinger

These numbers are most likely almost all burned up that they are coming right from another suspended account

I noticed they ask a new question now, " Is your phone a mobile, landline, or VOIP "

I never got this before so be-careful because I think they are checking these numbers pretty good now

Usually I'll wait for a sale and stock up, but sometimes if I'm making 10 accounts in one day it would be easier to just use text+ , but that option is burnt

Hmmmm... I always use mobile phones. You think they'd cause trouble if I were to say it is a landline?

Most people don't even have landlines anymore

Still a suspension though.

If it fails the account stays non-working.

they can ID the type of phone.

I just say mobile phone , even if I use a VOIP I'm sure they know and if they are going to shut me down they will

Account reinstation would depend on what the issue was - details lacking

No it was a suspension. I got the MC99 email saying I was indefinitely suspended and I won't be ever able to use eBay in any way.
