PayPal Limited for NO Reason.
 

Yesterday I had two of my PayPal accounts limited for No specific reason at all.
This was shortly after signing up for Inkfrog and setting re-curring paypal payment. My ebay accounts have no problems or cases open. 100% positive feedback 600+ feedback. When I log into the paypal account I get a notification which I will show in the image below.

When I click the resolution, No steps to complete.

:help:Whats the Best approach to this. Any insights would be highly appreciated.

Give paypal a ring and see what they say to you buddy

Good idea, Actually I called and the first Agent told me, It might have happened in error and I should expect a response from them within 24hrs. No response received so I call again and this time I was told the account is under review and it will take upto 10 days!!! to get a response. Meanwhile I have active lsitings on ebay and buyers are telling me they are not able to pay!

From the screenshot it looks like no steps are available to remove this limitation.
Theres almost always some reason that triggered a limitation. Its not a manual thing - its a bot thing. So there reason is there - somewhere.
From my own experience the fact no steps are shown to remove the limitation is a bad sign. It usually means the limitation cannot be appealed and the account is lost.
Cant hurt to try to call them about it though. Nothing to lose at this point.

I once had something similar - PayPal limited my account and it said that I needed to resolve a buyer complaint and answer another question to restore my account. There were two things listed, but no specifics at all. When I clicked on the Resolve (at least I think the buttons were labeled "resolve") buttons on the right hand side of the issues, it said. "Completed. Thank You. An hour later, my account was restored and I have had no issues since.

@Bunneh, Nothing at all. Upon calling Paypal I was asked if I received any emails to which I answered No, and I was told it might have been an error...

Will keep You updated.

When you log into your paypal on the limitation screen does it say near the bottom :

This limitation cannot be appealed against

Yes, then disappears when you go through to the resolution centre and get the same message

I had the same over the weekend and had no email from them to see they were limiting the account. I had around £350 trapped inside. I spoke to a rep on Monday who said it was probably an error and said they would remove it. They removed it and I managed to withdraw my money. Then it was limited again today. I phoned again and they said it would be looked at and would get back to me in 24 hours.

I cant see that happening though, and just thankful that I managed to get my money out in time.

Unlikely to be able to appeal BUT might be worth risking a call to clarify

It seems a lot of people hit these 'cannot be appealed' on Saturday! I got two on 15/11 and none before or since. How weird. I'm nervous for this Saturday!

"This limitation cannot be appealed against." -> 180 days limited, can withdraw if don't have any disputes
