You must have a foreign account though? I.e an bank or debit card account in the country you wish to operate so to speak? Or you can draw to UK accounts?

This may be a more sensible route than purchasing another UK account, what with all the limitations going on. Somethings obviously up!

You're mistaken, it won't be the more sensible route long term. In countries in which you may look at you need to be able to provide ID and plenty of other relevant documents should you be limited. Also, these changes at PayPal are not just aimed at UK accounts.....plenty more info in the privacy policy.

Oh and you need to be able to withdraw to IBAN.........

So, I should purchase another UK ebay/paypal account fully verified now or I should wait a little longer?

Yeah sorry that was a mistake, I meant money way taken by paypal from my bank account to pay fees.

Has anyone had anything happen recently?

Things seem to be ok here. This has been a little un nerving. Planned to make significant investment in the coming months but will hold off until I know the stability of things in months to come...

Nothing very recent but it's two weeks tomorrow since the last lot of purged accounts hit the forums.

Think you'll find a couple of users have posted of limitations from the 12th and 13th with the same criteria as the ones 2 weeks ago

Well the number of accounts being limited seems to be reducing, which can only be a good thing.

You do your homework for whatever country you plan to use.

Don't be tricked into thinking an international account will sort everything.

They do not.

Once again another goes down with ' Entropay ' attached. It may not be that but just seems odd that a lot that
are going down do have it attached. The address is more likely to be the problem.

I've been experiencing these limitations for the past 2 months as well.

I find during the middle of the month PP decide to limit accounts for NO reason.

I've had 9 accounts limited in November + December - All confirmed, verified etc...

I feel like crying every time I see the message.

I have the same message for all of them and it tells me that the limitation cannot be appealed against.

All eBay accounts are in good standing with 100% positive feedback and smooth transactions throughout all of them.

Some eBay accounts are over a year old whilst others are only a couple of days but they all had the same message.

It is SO FRUSTRATING!

It's not so much the money that bothers me, but the time and effort that has gone into building these accounts and the fact that another bank account needs to be replaced.

out of the 9 limited, one of them requested invoices, tracking information, Photo ID the lot!

But it just wasn't worth the effort for such a small account so I just let it go.

This one got limited because I started selling products from a completely different category and it was kind of understandable.

The other 8 however, completely random and I still can't work out what it was!

I'm extremely careful with EVERYTHING!

My IP addresses are all logged, different user accounts and I follow stealth practices to a T.

I've read somewhere that PP can't legally hold money for more than 180 days but some say they don't have to give it back? So i guess I'll have to wait and find out.

I have a TON of money trapped in these accounts but the only way is too keep plugging at it!

It's even being said now that they may ask you to provide documents after the 180 days before they'll give you your money. If they don't like the documents you provide then basically say goodbye to your funds. Scary really!

Ive been burned 3 times on the 180 day hold. No more. I only ever leave £50 max in there now unless I have a payment to ebay coming up then I will let it get to the bill amount and make a manual paypal payment.

Burned, how?

Not being able to access your funds after the 180 day period?

Nothing when it comes to Paypal. I have a love & hate relationship with them

I always withdraw slowly, a few days apart but i only withdraw once on that particular day. I've never done more than one withdrawal in one day. I always leave enough in for fees & a few refunds (just incase). I never leave too much in just incase anything does happen & I can't retrieve them after the 180 days are up.

You can rule Entropay out of the equation. Majority of accounts are made with this so it's easy to look past it.

Much more in depth than this.

Funds being held for 180 days may not be returned. PayPal MAY be looking at this that the account has had documents accepted, which they accepted, now they have realised they've been letting accounts with f@ke information run potentially unlimited money through these and are worried that as they class themselves as a bank, it could be looked at as money laundering from their POV.

Just a thought as to why they want all the extra ID etc

Mine was 13th also, strange thing was there was no dreaded "your account has been limited until we hear from you...." email, I only discovered the limitation when I logged in. I emailed customer service for an explanation, they responded with a generic email saying they "prefer to answer these queries by phone"
