Both PayPal Stealth Accounts 180 Limited on Same Day - Anything I Can Do

So I got the dreaded limited.

They claim that the original documents I sent in, over four months ago, which where accepted at the time, wont be now. They are asking for further ID documents, basically a passport or a on the second account, the guy said a birth certificate.

I know, this means I am probably done for and I need to move on. But although it said I cant appeal, they have said if i send the PP or BC, I could have it lifted.

Ebay has not been shut down yet, but I cant recieve payments from all my listings. So I guess that will be next.

The big stickler as I stupidly hadnt withdrawn funds for a while due to various reasons and there are LARGE amounts of funds in their. (schoolboy error)

Are there any users on here that can help me with a passport jpeg?

Or anyone else have any ideas, on how to at least get the money out, but if you think there is a way to get it all working again, that would be awesome!

I saw th great letters people have posted to get PayPal to withdraw the funds, but they dont apply to the UK. If any UK peeps have any similar that would be awesome.

This is really useful info regarding what is needed.

Did they give you a permanent limitation then you called in to find out if you can get it lifted or did they just request steps to upload the above

Yes, they gave no indication. Different scenarios

Account 1

The email just said it was limited, I could not appeal. I called in, the woman didnt know why it had been limited, came back and said the DL was not accepted and the Utility bill was blurry when zoomed in. She said to send a passport and a new scan of the utility bill.

Then I got an email saying

'Dear XXX,

We're sorry, but we cannot restore full access to your account until we
receive additional information.

Please provide a copy of each of the following:

- Your monthly statement for the credit card ending in XXXX88. The
statement must show your name, address and account number exactly as they
appear in your PayPal account.

- Your driving licence or passport. Please make the copy as large and as
light as possible'

This credit card was just a VCC, so I dont have a statement.

Account 2

No Email. Logged in and found the same limitation, no details.

Called up.

He said the DL had not been accepted and could I send a Passport or even a birth certificate, and 9/10 they can get it restored once ive sent the documents.

No further email, but option to upload docs now (which wasnt there before)

Did you get them to elaborate when they say it isnt accepted? Theyre only supposed to hold docs for 60 days from the date you sent them by the way.

Thats interesting.

They wouldnt really elaborate. They said it was because the docs where not accepted (even though they accepted them four months ago) on closer inspection. I have a feeling a competitor has made the links on my accounts (he is a large scale seller and already accused me of multi trading) and has reported me to everyone he can think of.

Up to now, ebay is still fine, so it is definitely with PayPal at the moment.

If I call back, it may sound like I 'know too much', do you have a doc link where it says they can only hold them for sixty days?

I have always wondered about that.

Is it definitely 60 days?

Ebay and Paypal are known for lying. Requesting additional ID could be a Red Herring.

It us not that wired. MAny, many members here have been getting accounts limited left right and centre. All the same limitation as you.

Your info is new, about the passport. This is progress atleast.

IF you can't get this limitation lifted with documents, best to let this combo go and restart stealth - rough with PP UK these days. Recent posts indicate problems for quite a few ppl

This has always been one of those things, goes back to the whole thing of, a genuine person signing up wouldn't have a problem submitting it as they would have a card linked to a bank account.

Screenshots seem to be a thing of the past, can still get creative though with this

Its the time frame PP will always quote when they are asked about it on the phone.

I personally do not believe a word PP say.

Especially in situations regarding ID and Limitations.

They are trained to lie.

Plus I was certain docs were not kept. When I had an account that had previously had EU limit lifted limited, they requested photo id. I had previously lost that scan after a minor data loss, so called in enquiring if i really had to send in again, and was told they hold on to docs for only 60 days before deleting.

I believed them after the next scan sent in possibly resembled not an awful lot to the first

FYI, paypal have spun me that rubbish too.

Yet, if you engage in conversations, you can find out that it's a smoke screen.

Dont be encouraging rubbish like this again.

Was just putting out there what I had always been told. There is nothing I can find in writing about it, but it seems to be a line used by PayPal. They must hold them for a lot longer based on the info on here recently.

If they have already decided to part ways with the Op for whatever reason, then anything else they request could just be a smokescreen.

I've had all 3 of my purchased stealth accounts go down now.

The first 2 I bought close together and they were limited at a similar time, this 3rd one just got limited a few days ago and that was one I purchased about 6 months later on I think. Sorry, my dates are hazy.

So, only got my stealth left that I created myself and no docs submitted yet, so i guess it will run to the £1900.
