| Imposter | 12-02-2014 12:13 PM | Paypal Limited WTF So today I got 1 account permanently limited with this message:
Dear XXX
We recently noticed an issue with your account.
What's the problem?
Since this is a new account, we want to make sure your information is
secure. We need some additional information to able to confirm your
identity.
Case ID Number: PP-003-xxx-xxx-xxx
BUT the account is 2 and a half years old, the ebay account is a top rated silver power seller DSR 5.0 5.0 4.9 5.0 1651 feedback at 99.8%
Does anyone know why this might have happened, my other 7 accounts are ok but this was my oldest & best account. |
| Geegee83 | 12-02-2014 12:14 PM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF You might want to have a read around, it's happening a lot, seems PayPal have changed some methods and stealth's are being rooted out. |
| Imposter | 12-02-2014 12:24 PM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF I have been reading but it's a bit concerning seems I have 7 other accounts ranging from 2 1/2 - 1 year old, don't want to be out of business at this crucial time. Worked my arse off on these all top rated and all either 100 - 99.8% feedback |

| Imposter | 12-02-2014 03:02 PM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF I bought the ID from a seller over 2 years ago & made the account myself |
| Geegee83 | 12-02-2014 03:09 PM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF I lost 3, two of which were over 1 yr old, 100% feedback, no refund, returns etc..
It's pretty bad at the moment, so I would expect the worst, doesn't seem to be an awful lot you can do about it.
Hopefully you won't lose all of your accounts. |

| Callidus | 12-03-2014 03:58 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF Same limitation message?
Was this account created around a similar time as the other? |
| Geegee83 | 12-03-2014 04:00 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF I think they are just working in chronological order maybe?
In theory the older one's have bigger limits, which is a higher risk, ergo.. they are the one's to get first. |

| Callidus | 12-03-2014 04:06 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF Well lets say this, I lost a 2 year old PayPal on the 27th November, same limitation as others.... |
| just_smile | 12-03-2014 04:09 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF An obvious question, Has anybody rang paypal to speak to them? Try and keep them on the phone to dig out more information. |

| donkeykong2012 | 12-03-2014 04:23 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF I honestly think there is some serious linking going on.
I may be totally wrong as others have asserted.
My guess is that Paypal are using some kind of new software or algorithm to link accounts in some way.
However I bet it is seriously flawed.
The other possibility is that they are scanning docs held over a period of time.
Something does not make sense to me with this option.
There is certainly a pattern of members losing more than one account usually in rapid succession.
That usually suggests linking.
Again, I may be wrong. But I am leaning towards them using some kind of software update that is resulting in these issues. |

I don't know how as my accounts are SOLID, never had a problem with a PP acc. for over 2 years now |
| donkeykong2012 | 12-03-2014 04:27 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF We are trying to make sense of Paypal's rubbish systems.
That in itself is a problem. |

However there must be a rational explanation for losing more than one account within a short timescale. |

| sugarlaces | 12-03-2014 04:40 AM | Re: Paypal Limited WTF Did you have esavers attached or was it current accounts with direct debits?
My guess is they know its a stealth account if no direct debit, then therefafter they check public record to match name /address. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:32 AM. | |
