PayPal Stealth Is Fine - eBay Stealth is 0/0

I just made my first stealth eBay and PayPal accounts. The PayPal one seems fine (verified, limits removed, etc.), but eBay started with 0/0. Is this because something is linked or because it's the holidays and everyone starts with that?

The only information that is the same is the routing number for my bank account. I just got a secondary checking account. It's a US Bank in southern California, so a lot of people have that routing number so it can't be just that. Also, I am using my phone (which is linked to my suspended eBay account) as a hotspot for internet access. I have never logged into my suspended account through my phone's hotspot before. These are the only two things that could possibly link me as far as I know.

Is it possible for them to ID my phone if I'm only using it as a hotspot on my stealth account and link it to my suspended eBay account? Can they see anything more than the IP address?

When I requested higher limits the first time it allowed me to just confirm my registration information which I did and it got an error. Now when I do it I can only link to an established eBay account or call. Should I call in or is this account burned? If I do call it, how do I do it if my number is a google voice number? Also, it's been several years, how does this call go? What do they ask, etc.?

The problem may be using google voice. 0/0 limits have been happening for a few months now. Please read this thread for tips and help:

I agree, Google Voice should be avoided. Routing numbers CANNOT be used to link people, because everyone at the same bank will have the same routing number. Yes, Bank of America and other large banks may have several different routing numbers, but all of them have millions of accounts behind them. It would be like trying to link two accounts because both of them were using Comcast.

The other thing to understand is that now is probably NOT the best time to be creating new accounts. Christmas brings the scammers out in droves and eBay/PayPal/Amazon do everything they can to screen them out. Security measures are always tougher during the holidays. And many people lose accounts at this time of the year.

If you want to have accounts ready next year for Christmas, you should start creating them no later than September or EARLY October. Waiting until the end of November or early December is not a great idea.

That is not to say that creating accounts is IMPOSSIBLE, but things that they might overlook in February will NOT be overlooked during the Christmas shopping season.

So is this account burned? I got a tracfone the last time I was at walmart but wanted to try google voice first. I asked about GV in the forums recently and no one said to stay away from it. I didn't get MC999 or suspended, etc., so is it as easy as changing my phone number to the tracfone number or do I need to start over again?

Also, any insight on my hot spot question? If I use my phone as a hot spot on my stealth account, can eBay see anything that will link it to my suspended account?

I don't mind waiting until after the holidays. I really don't want to be blowing $25 on VCCs all the time to get 0/0. Also, my suspension was actually a blessing in disguise as I tried out Amazon for the first time and business instantly exploded to 2-3x what I was doing on eBay. Some stuff I can't sell on Amazon though.

At this point usastrat, you could call up eB and try and haggle with an agent - have ID ready if they ask to submit
