Buyer left negative FB and now want full refund for Revise
 

Hello,
Today one of the buyer left a negative feedback for one item as he said *its faulty and not as listing* .
I politely asked him if he doesn't like the item ( which worth £40) can send me back and I am happy to issue full refund with postage cost.
I had 82 Positive FB with 100% now its 98.8%.
Buyer replied he will only revise feedback if I give him a full refund but he will not send it back.

Should I contact with eBBay or just refund him.

Hmmmm tricky one as he has the right to leave the feedback.

However, sounds like a hint of blackmail ( not sure thats the right word ) to say he will revise if you offer full refund plus keep itwm.

Also, what guarantee to do you have that he will honour his word and revise feedback if full rwfund given....probably none

Hang fire as someone else will sure know more about this than me :-)

Feedback extortion policy.
If you are one of the people who use chat or call in it is a 2 minute fix once you get a rep.

Plenty of these type of people on the forum as well, unfortunately.

Speak with customer services, its extortion.

If you have proof of this ebay will remove the feedback as it is blackmail, this has happened to me before & I had the feedback removed.
Did the customer offer these terms before they left the negative feedback ?

You will have to the proof to support you extortion/feedback blackmail claim to eBay as you will have the message buyer sent you, time to get busy contacting eBay with this and let us know the outcome

WOW no need for that comment, you will see you Revised your message at 10:39 and hers was posted at 10:41 most people use the REPLY button and not QUICK REPLY so your response would not have been shown to her in those few minutes.

Hehe thanks for the support there GB and Bunneh, you two will probably have noticed some of the rather strongly worded to'ing and fro'ing in exchanges in the forum over this past few days, some strong emotions been flying around, a few people needing too take a chill pill and just relax a little

Had a really bad day yesterday. Had chat with Ebay rep they said outcome will be within 48 hours.
Miniute later another buyer probably from Arab or middle east ( Mohamed zaki) one of the worst buyer in Ebay left another negative feedback.
Myhermes lost my 20 parcel so I sent replacement to all , all buyer was happy as they knew it's not my fault, but that guy is stupid.
Bit upset though but I have to move on.

Love it how buyers alway bring their kids into it, I had a buyer claim their 3 year old had managed to go through the process of placeing an order with me on their phone while she was doing the ironing & wanted to cancel.

These buyers say ANYTHING to get of of paying even if its a £2 item :rant:

there are different types of buyer, the ones that will leave a neg regardless of what you do to resolve, the ones that leave a neg and do not even contact you, the understanding ones that will even leave a positive, they like the free goods they got cos you refund and everything is peachy or just leave no feedback. The last type would be peachy if you resolved quickly but if you annoy them with delays or unreasonableness in resolving etc they may leave a neg......oh and another type is the one that has had a bad run of online issues with other sellers and takes it all out on you..........

And the ones that see that you state in your listing 'I stand by my 100% feedback' and want to beg to differ.
