Did ebay verify your credit card address and name?

Dear Sir:

I wonder if ebay verify credit card name and address when I use the credit card under my real name and real address? My credit card's information belong to me, but if I enter different name on ebay or paypal, did they really verify the name on credit card?

And how did they verify the name of a gift card then?

Here is an addon to this question I put on the entropay board but barely anyone goes there.

Where I am the only option to verify the ebay account when making it a seller account is to use a credit card. The VCC I added worked perfectly fine on paypal but then not on ebay. It keeps saying the credit card can not be verified. It's exactly the same info that was verified on paypal.

Any ideas please?

Just looked for that post. It is not in the entropay section BUT the credit card alternatives. Wrong place for a start. I need to known your location: you have been asked in other posts to give the location. Can not give a reasonable answer without more info.
