Tracfones that come with free minutes
 

Hello,

Long time member here, haven't been here in a while but I am back once again and I'm trying to read as many threads as I can to keep up.

I wanted to know if the Tracfone 440G that you buy at BestBuy for $5 comes with minutes once activated on the Tracfone website? Is this true? Because it isn't advertised or mentioned anywhere.

Yes, these come with 20 minutes and 60 days..

AND: Work beautifully for eBay and PayPal

Plus these are a nice and easy to use phone that don't have a removable Sim Card, so no worries about getting the correct Sim.

Let me clear this up once and for all:

ALL Tracfones come with 20 minutes and 60 days. Period. ALL TRACFONES! :peace:

The 440G is the GSM model (ATT and Tmobile) I always go for the 440C (Verizon) models. Verizon has a better coverage area and really seems to make a difference, in my opinion.

Why do people say that these phones come with 20 minutes and 60 says when I only get 10 minutes and 60 days of service when I have used the trac phones.

I mostly use net 10 but I still have some trac phones that I havent used yet. The net 10 also gives me 10min/60days.

Do I need to register them over the website with name and other info. I dont do any of that, I just do the basic registration.

Anyone tried recently to travel with them like...say...to Canada? :d any international coverage?

yeah I think it is 10 minutes people are stuck on the old news.

Just google double mins. Enter the code when activating your tracfone.

It depends on the model number and if the company is ready to X out the phone lines/serials.

If the phone is still 'hot' they give the 20 mins / 60 days.

if they are trying to kill that line of phones altogether, they whittle it down to 10/60 then you will need to buy minutes in order for the phone to work.

What models of Tracfones have you used that come with only 10 mins?

I do know Net10 (owned by Tracfone) only comes with 10 mins on ALL models.

i use the t301g model. i ordered them off ebay over a year ago. i still have about 10 left.

Oh ok. The 5 dollar phones you can buy at Family Dollar, BestBuy, and Amazon all come with 20 mins. :thumb:

I didn't see any on Amazon lately, the cheapest I saw was 11.79.

That model also cost $5, more like 4.99. I didnt want to drive around looking for dollar stores buying up all of their phones and getting dirty looks. I bought 50 of that model and it arrived the next day from CA.

The main thing was getting dirty looks with so many prepaid phones. I had enough with law enforcement that year to last a life time. 1 warrant for a missed traffic court and a missed court date from family court.

With law enforcement on high alert looking for any link between home grown terrorists and with a car full of prepaid phones, yea no thanks.

I still want my 20 minutes.

How long ago has it been since they gave you 20 free minutes or has that been gone for awhile now?
