I wanted to know if the Tracfone 440G that you buy at BestBuy for $5 comes with minutes once activated on the Tracfone website? Is this true? Because it isn't advertised or mentioned anywhere.

Let me clear this up once and for all:
ALL Tracfones come with 20 minutes and 60 days. Period. ALL TRACFONES!
The 440G is the GSM model (ATT and Tmobile) I always go for the 440C (Verizon) models. Verizon has a better coverage area and really seems to make a difference, in my opinion.
Why do people say that these phones come with 20 minutes and 60 says when I only get 10 minutes and 60 days of service when I have used the trac phones.
I mostly use net 10 but I still have some trac phones that I havent used yet. The net 10 also gives me 10min/60days.
Do I need to register them over the website with name and other info. I dont do any of that, I just do the basic registration.

Just google double mins. Enter the code when activating your tracfone.

It depends on the model number and if the company is ready to X out the phone lines/serials.
If the phone is still 'hot' they give the 20 mins / 60 days.
if they are trying to kill that line of phones altogether, they whittle it down to 10/60 then you will need to buy minutes in order for the phone to work.

What models of Tracfones have you used that come with only 10 mins?
I do know Net10 (owned by Tracfone) only comes with 10 mins on ALL models.
