Default Is a mobile hotspot really a reliable solution?

Hello everyone! I have successfully been able to build a large amount of stealthy accounts that have made it past the 30 day time period. I am getting a lot more orders and am getting very tired of constantly switching my IP via my dynamic IP router.

My question is aimed towards the high volume sellers- people who are selling a lot and have lots of different accounts. Is a mobile hotspot really OK? I know by disconnecting it you do get a Fresh IP, and that eBay can't just suspend everyone using these devices, as plenty of legit people do as well. However, do (you guys) ever have an issue with accounts getting limited most likely because of the hotspot?

Please post your experiences below, thanks!

They cannot just suspend an account like that, but they can ask you or a random sample to call in. Something you should want to avoid. I hate calling ebay, but the questions are usually easily answered if needed.

My advice about IP to you is: If it is working for you now, then dont change it. Would you rather take that extra step of switching IP or would you rather take a cut in pay. An option that I like using for IPs is a "flashed verizon MIFI". You can buy it off ebay or from a seller here on the forum.

Personally, it hasn't been an issue whatsoever.

I like them because they're convenient.

I have a dedicated device just for eBay/PayPal. There is no messing with the local network. No messing with routers or resetting modems.

Instead, just turn on the device.
Do what I need to do.
And turn off the device.

Afterwards it's ready to go for the next account.

Do you keep track of IP addresses on the hotspot in case there's ever a repeat?

I am using the hotspot solution, and I've only seen all new ip addresses. However, I'm very new to this process.

Also, does using all new ip addresses every time cause a problem?

I use a Hotspot and keep track...it's just safer that way.

Depending on the hotspot...like the Verizon, the IP pool is pretty big.

No, think about those on Dialup....their IP changes constantly, so no...it's not a big deal.

What are you thinking is unreliable about it?
Everyone using a smart phone today is doing everything via a hotspot.

the problem is if another ebay user is also using the same wifi hotspot and then becomes banned - your ip will then be automatically linked to the banned ip address

That is exactly what we are saying does not automatically happens because most likely ALL those public IPs have been attached to banned accounts.

I have never tracked my IP, and I have ~150 accounts all running from the same IP.

Never had a problem.

Seriously.

Been using certain Starbucks and MacDonalds parking lots to utilize wifi for eBay Stealth account for about 5 years now. In my personal opinion the more account history you have being a legit seller, etc. They will leave you alone.

With regards to newer sellers I have no idea. Ebay tends to be a big algorithm based on type of products, your history, and various other factors. I will put it like this I wouldn't be using public wifi to be managing stealth accounts to sell a bunch of high risk fufu items. Then it will be a problem.
