#1--- Mistaken name brand name on purpose:

instead of typing out your name brand correctly, make it look like you mistakenly type it

Example- Ipod Nano
----- pIod Naon

#2 Instead of puttin item as New -- don't put anything,

#3 post your display picture-- put your ipod nano in a flower vace and take a pictuire of it, or take a pic of the ipod nano next to something ( a book, your lamp, a flashlight)

#4 simple descritions--

Hi Kaw- and in which Category are u listing these? As pp has red flagged certain cats + I'm sure ebay has...Thanks Btw-ebay is onto the misspell trick- as a newbie-with 5fb...Wouldn't Handheld batt op for Teen or similar work? PLUS..the buyers now think u don't know what you're selling + they're getting the deal of a Lifetime?? Just a thought...;)

VeRO I think is still pretty hard to get around for long periods of time (months). You would be lucky if you lasted 4-6 weeks, but then again it all depends how active the VeRO is. Some good ideas though. All of which I've tried with my items.

Would VEROs believe you have you sell hardly any items and claim "I got this as a gift but don't want it" ?

ive tried the unwanted gift on a new acc it didnt work, but on this new acc i listed some junk along with 1 vero and it was fine, so as soon as the 1st vero finished i put on 3 more veros the 1st 1 is still on but the other 2 have been pulled, now ive realised on the 1 that hasnt been pulled id forgot to put the gallery pic in so im thinking maybe that has made a difference.

ANY OF YOU GUYS TRY putting Brand name Vero AS USED, or slightly USED, but listed as USED, maybe since its USED, and not brand new, ebay might not remove those listing or supsend you, since they think your just selling stuffs around the house and trying to get a few bucks, and your not like competing against Brand name company and power seller. any1 think this a good idea?

A friend of mine is unloading her closet and has listed a Gucci bag. She clearly states "used" and clearly states this bag is from the archives of her closet. EB pulled her listing. She waited 1-week and successfully listed it 2-days ago. Let's see how long it stays up there.

Kaw - I sold some stuff from my home and one of the items I listed were my used Coach bags from my personal collection and got my listings pulled lightning quick.

yes ive tried saying its been used and got my listing pulled aswell, the only way to get round vero is to become a power seller it seems only they can get away with it.

It might be high level power seller. I've seen the really high level power sellers get away with pretty much constant violations.

Folks: I think we have a whole section on Vero--no Real Magic Bullet for it..
--Rotate your items, on several accts, list only 1-2 per acct after that acct has built up trust,
--You just have to be "Creative" when listing, if youve not had a previous track record of Closed sales in same category/brand, with no takedowns,, again--no one single magic answer... Ebays running scared with the Tiffany Lawsuit..

VERO WORKAROUNDS Part 2

Folks:

I have been trying something for the past 2 months, and after I closed another sale tonight, I
thought I would now share with you..
>>KEEP IN MIND:
--YOU MUST ADAPT these "ideas" to your particular items..

a.) First, My items are Authentic, so I am always ready for the Counter Claim/Notice
b.) The items closed for between $370-$599.
c.) The items have been "rotated" between 3 accts, so I can close 1-2/week with no problems..

The accts are all still up-- and no takedowns... So- Heres the "IDEA".. not the exact items, mind you.

Lets say your item, is a Montblanc 149 Fountain Pen.. (MSRP $599-$675)..

a.) I would title this as:
German Engineered Fountain Pen LUXURY Executive Styled New!

My Photos would be of my ACTUAL ITEM...--CLEARLY ,,,showing a Montblanc Connisseur
the NIB, or the Black Barrel or the infamous white Snow Cap on the Caps end...

b.) The DESCRIPTION.... Would be something like..

Brand New, Authentic, GERMAN Made Fountian Pen
Original Case/Box/papers
Highly Polished Black Lacquered Barrel, with 22KT Gold Overlay
18K Gold NIB
NIB+ Medium Point
Will Come in Original Case
Will Come with 2 boxes Fountain Pen Cartridges

LUXURY at its BEST.. a TRUE Executive SURPRISE GIFT!!!

BOTH ways--are very hard to detect by vero...


NOW.. start at 99 cents...BUT..HAVE A RESERVE and a BIN, of like $379.99 (or whatever u want for it)..
This way- if the COLLECTORS do not get it frist time around, U can either send the 2nd chance offer to the
$350 bidders, or just relist,, SAME WAY....

After your fb is up... I also use Gallery FEATURED,,,

You definitely have some excellent tips here.

I have listed a VeRO item exactly as you suggested: no mention of designer name in title or description - did not list under the designer's name/category but did list w/a picture of item. As the days went by and my simple listing moved-up to first page, item sold with no problems. I did get a few emails/questions asking if the item was "so & so".

Aye, this reminds me of my days selling VeRO items.. it does work, but for me since I was listing 100 auctions a day, it didn't last long.. 2-4 weeks tops... but I did have some great selling days. :)
