Do Ebay Uk verify your docs you fax them?

Do Ebay Uk verify your docs you fax them for reinstatment?, I was under the thinking they don't, but somebody pm'ed me and said they do, i sent a tax letter and a social letter, both made up, anyone from uk please confirm if the actually verify, but they can't do that without your permission data protection act?

The data protection act restricts and prevent s any company sharing your details to any other company ie your bank will not confirm to ebay whether the information on your documents is valid or not.

If you are unsure about this just call any bank and ask them if they would confirm some details that you have been given by say a new lodger, they will def say sorry we cannot do that DPA rules etc and breach of confidential customer agreements.

once again ebay cannot contact any company whether it be tax office, bank or council to verify any details you give.
