PLEASE HELP ME I've been an idiot about this
 

Here is the bottom line... I screwed up. I dropship off amazon and because the amazon prices change i can't change all my prices to match quick enough so when a buyer buys my item and the prices are off i cancel the transaction and refund the buyers' money to avoid me losing money. Very shortsighted because now I'm seeing that in the long run it will cost me money if eBay and PayPal shut me down for any reason.

Today is Aug 8th and my next eBay evaluation is on Aug 20th. and on that evaluation I'm projected to be BELOW STANDARD. I of course don't want to get to that point but I was wondering... does anybody know how I can avoid falling below standard in such a short time? Or is there not a chance to fix this at this point? The reason I'm falling below standard on my seller dashboard is because I have a "defect rate" on my sales of just over 6%. Anything over 5% they say is below standard.

I would appreciate it if anybody could please help me out here with some great info I could use to save my business. I'm worried that if i fall below standard that eBay will suspend me and that PayPal will then put a hold on my funds for 21 days. Thanks for your time.

You need lots of sales ASAP

I would look for an item around the $5 mark that you can shift in large volume. That will bring your defect % down.

This is one of those rare cases I agree with Ebay (not on their new seller defect system but on evaluating you as below standard). Any seller who passes their failures onto their customer and penalizes their customer for their own bad business plan, deserves to fail.

Your only option to save your business is to take the occasional loss when it is your mistake. Most good business men will take losses from time to time (even when it is the customer's fault) to satisfy their customers and it pays dividends. If you cannot withstand these losses then you need to rethink your business plan.
