I know for a fact Lloyds and Halifax both have proper (unique) account numbers on savings accounts. Can anyone recommend any other banks to use for this purpose?

As Play states, Natwest savers and Uaccount 'extras' can be opened with ease for this. Do open Natwest slowly though, also they do not like you to have more than 5 or 6 accounts of any type TOTAL, and it has been documented they will close all your accounts down in some cases where you exceed this.

Santander is very good for stealth, and quite generous with savers which you can open online. I have averaged between 8 and 14 savers with them the last 18 months or so with never a sniff of a problem. You can also send them a message to shut down any unwanted accounts via online messaging and they oblige happily within 24 hours.

Bank of Scotland is also good for 5 or so savers, and you can open and close online with ease.

Others that you can try that will work include Post Office Savers (up to 6 or 7 accounts), Virgin savers (up to 6 or 8 accounts).

Coventry, is good for 5 or 6 and can be used BUT they do not like mismatched names, much like LLoyds. Don't let this put you off. As long as the name you have isn't ultra rare, and as long as you use very different addresses and D.O.B's etc. from previously blacklisted accounts, then it is still possible to fully use these with caution.

Never knew you could have that many bank accounts (with the same bank). I suppose opening a new one every 6 mths is ok?

They are not bank accounts, they are savers. You have 1 main bank with each bank and use the savers as satellites.

Post office, Virgin, Coventry you do not even open a bank account, just open the savers.....which will not show on your credit report, although you need an 'established' nominated bank account to withdrawal to.

Just take it careful, some banks act differently to others regards opening times.

For instantly I wouldn't open more than 2 Natwest savers in a month. Santander though I would open 2 in a day ( but no more than maybe 7 or 8 in a month). Uaccount I would open 5 in a day. Horses for courses.

Hasn't happened, so suggested action can't happen. Law of physics.

I use Lloyds Halifax and Barclays with multiple savings accounts on each. All work perfectly....Lloyds being the easiest to open and close savings accounts online.

Correct, as I have already said on this thread.

SO if you are one of the lucky common people, don't mismatch your name!

It seems 'blobby' has some severe anger issues.

Maybe some counselling chap?
