Default Will PayPal Already have Reduced Staff for Xmas?

OK cut a long story short, one of my Stealths got flagged for 'Unusual Activity' and they wanted me to receive a text or call to prove I still had control of my account. Unfortunately I have lost the prepaid SIM in a house move like a spazz so I've had to opt for the far more risky upload docs option (yes I know, rookie error and lesson learned, be more careful with SIMS etc).

The process was promised to take 1 working day, we've now entered the third FFS. Anyone got any idea whether PayPal UK will have already dropped staff down for Xmas, or whether it's just more likely that they're overrun for the Xmas rush? I suppose I shouldn't complain... the extra workload probably means the more riskier option I've had to take is likely less riskier than usual due to them being so swamped, right?

Best to double check that all the resolution steps are showing either "complete" or "in progress".

It really shouldn't take as long as 3 days for a limitation like that one to be reviewed.

I can't even get into the account bud, as in, to view anything at all (res centre, account overview, limitation page)- as soon as I log in it says thanks for submitting the documents, we're reviewing them. It wasn't a standard limitation screen or anything like that, they thought the account had been accessed by a third party.

Although doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense as I've had 3 accounts verified in the last month or so ranging from 4 days to 3 weeks so won't lose to much sleep.

That thread is somewhat irrelevant.

When receiving limit documents are submitted on accounts where there is little or no transaction history they are not deemed to be urgent so they basically sit on the back burner until they are ready to review them.

Any risk based limitation or where the receiving limit has been exceeded should get reviewed within a few days. In some cases recently it has run over but the worst of the online sales are done now for Xmas so things should get back to normal fairly soon.

The accounts referred to in that thread are also now being reviewed and the backlog is being cleared by Paypal reps in India.

That limitation is taking 4 or 5 days at the moment

I have only come across it a couple of times though and 2 of the 3 times it was the 5th day I was able to get into the account again. The other account got to 7 days and I had to phone into the account (it was a baby account with no trading history so I didn't mind) and it get unlocked on the phone

Cheers James, I have all account details noted on a spreadsheet so could call but I'd have to do so on an unrecognised number so I'll just just be patient and wait for Santa.
