There are a lot of factors to take into account and I dont think anyone will share what it takes to be at the top.
Having said that, our items usually appear in top 3 after searching just 2 keywords of the title. I say top 3 as even after a simple page refresh, the listing moves up/down. Clearly there is an element of randomness in the algorithm eBay use to ensure no one seller hogs the top position.
