Request for additional information. Asked for 2+ bank statements.

Hello, today I got this request:

Dear xxx,

We appreciate that you have chosen PayPal to accept payments for your business and thank you for your patience during this review process.

As part of our Regulatory obligations we would like to confirm with you certain information about your account.

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this review may cause and would like to express the importance of your co-operation so that we may resolve this issue in a timely manner.

Please provide us with the following information:


- A copy of a recent bank statement for the bank account listed on your PayPal account ending ... Please note that the statement may not be older than twelve months and must show your name and bank account number.

Account was registered in '11, selling on eBay for 2 and a bit more years.
I have several questions:
1) All bank accounts are registered to a different address from my PayPal reg.info. therefore all statements are on different address. They asked only for name and bank account number, does it mean that I can cover out my real address ? The real address is linked to a stealth account, so not really an option to send as it is.
2) 1 bank acc is a vcc (cardonebanking). Can it be a problem ? What should I do reg. a statement? I can call onecardbanking and ask to send a statement, or give a call PayPal and ask if they'll accept a screenshot with the relevant info?
3) 1 bank acc has mistmatched name/surname, and basically 2 bank accounts are linked from one bank. If I'll provide the statement will it be enough? or they can ask more questions ?

You are in trouble. The only solution is that you have to provide them with the documents they need.

The details on the bank statements must match the information on file. You have to think of a way to produce these documents.

Also, a VCC bank statement is not ideal and no body recommends submitting these.

I'm not worried about bank statements, but not sure about VCC. Why nobody recommends submitting them ? Are using VCC breaks some PayPal policies or what ?

Some people says that a screenshot of VCC account with name/surname + sort code/bank account can do the trick. Any suggestions ?

No but its an indication the person is not fully genuine. they have already pulled you up for various reasons, adding a VCC card statement just adds to their suspicions.

I don't make money out of my advice gained through experience and many years, this is partly the reason why they are regularly removed, as it inflicts on the profiteers.

You may be able to get away with showing a VCC statement, but the problem is when an account is queued for a manual review, it's highly likely they are looking for bank statements from established, physical, banks.

And then the last thing you want to do is provide them with something partially "proper", only for them to find it fishy and then ask for more documents related to even more sensitive areas like identity and business practices (though the latter is easier to provide).

I see. Thanks for clarification.
I have 2 physical banks attached and 1 VCC, so, probably, it shouldn't be a problem then ?
