I have returns requests coming through all the time though, I sell like 30k a month :( it's just normal.
Also, how do I manage these things if my eBay account goes down? I can't manage any cases? :/

do you mean getting your money before the 180 days? Well, first appeal, see if you can get it released earlier. Just need to give as plausible explanation as possible to the things you think they have objected to, the name difference, velocity etc....at the end of the day, you were not doing any troublesome business, from what you have mentioned, however you had been banned before and so that is strictly a no no for them I suppose....
the ebay account may or may not go down, you can manage returns on ebay and refunds by contacting paypal and they can refund customer. You are not thinking of carrying on selling on that ebay are you? |

Well, I originally submitted a phaake DL to pass the initial checks. But after that, after they saw companies house my name and my DOB, I had to submit my real ones.
It's gotta be that. I'll appeal but I can't see it getting anywhere :(

It’s a crap situation but these days they will try to hold the funds for 180 days, the 30 day scenario is just to keep your hopes high. Personally you will just have to wait out the 180 days and pray they will release after this period. I’ve had accounts which even after this time they still wouldn’t release funds... |

They told me today, that we are too high risk. And won't say why. That was it lol! So yeah, this isn't going to be fun. Managed to cancel a load of sales and get the buyers to pay any other way, taking a few grand back. So it's lower now atleast

| Such a terrible story - I'm sorry for you! - have you ever thought about taking legal action to get that money released earlier? PayPal have never to my knopledge defended a small claims court summons, and for 28k, I'd be doing it! |

Small claims I think is only up to 5k, after that, it's the big court.
All court in general scares me if I'm honest.
I've managed to clamber back about 6k from calling customers and cancelling sales, getting them to pay direct. But it still hurts so much.

I have a lovely seller who's helped me with a few accounts, and I've set up an etsy shop.
Facebook gets a few sales, I'm investigating further when I'm set up definitely :)
I just like the simplicity of eBay. All messages in one place, everything easy to process.
However, this is the price I've paid for using one account.
