What is the max suggested monthly revenue on stealth?
 

What is the maximum suggested amount you think a stealth account should process monthly. Has anyone consistently exceeded this limit year on year without any trouble?

I've been told to keep it to around £500 per month per account for the first 3-4 months. Keeping other factors such as ticket price below £50 and amount listed quite conservative.

Year 1 - £25k/yr (roughly £2k/month)
Year 2 onward - £50k/year (roughly £4k/month)

If you need to sell more, spread it over multiple accounts.

If your account is new to selling or has been dormant for a long period of time, make sure not to sell more than £500 in the first month, or £100 per week (whichever comes first). Then scale it up from there.

So if I make £500 a month for the first 3 months then after that start making £1400 a month would you say that’s to much of an increase could that cause problems ? If so what’s the right amount of money to do after the 3 months ?

I would say...

Month 1 - £500 (spread over 4 weeks, not as a single payment).
Month 2 - £750 (spread over 4 weeks, not as a single payment).
Month 3 - £1,000 (spread over 4 weeks, not as a single payment).
Month 4 - £1,400 (spread over 4 weeks, not as a single payment).

So after the 4 months of selling shall I increase it to 2K a month and keep it like that for 1 year.

There's no set figures. What I've outlined is a guideline. Other factors play a part, i.e. the risk your item poses, is it an item that is delivered electronically (thus against ebay rules) etc. -

But Month 6 onward for an average product, £2k/month (spread over 4 weeks) should be fine.

If you need to get to that figure quicker, spread sales over multiple accounts.

Hmm. :) Was reading this thread and finally got something interesting in my mind.

Ive started selling on one of my stealth accounts, for first week ive sold 3 items ( power tools brand new ) for 500£+ all together. Second day posted, all delivered and everything is fine. Got feedbacks ;-) After that ive posted more items worth 4000£+, and started selling. Account limit was 500/10000£. I never withdraw money, was keeping it safe in paypal. After ive sold everything, I push button increase selling allowance and they increased to 1000/15000£. So after 2 weeks of selling after first item, i had around 15 feedback, my eBay unlocked some new features, and ive put items for 8000£. Gold jewelry, electronics, power tools, cleaning tools, many other.

So the thing is, every eBay account is totally different, ones gets locked, anothers not, on some of my other eBay accounts, I was asked for item invoices from eBay and paypal account got limited, but anyways, I think that first month keep it low, just do everything as usual, and after first 15 sales, you can start selling something better ;-)

I try to keep below £5k/month for older accounts.

Fresh accounts I start with £500 a month, then slowly increase to £1k-£2k, and after about 3-6 months doing £2k-£4k has been fine so far.

I would say you are only limited by what you sell. If it is in demand and is legit, then you should have no trouble, if you are selling things you shouldnt be, then i would limit it considerably.

If you are starting out, you are already limited by ebay, and you need to hit those limits in order for them to be increased.

So just keep doing what you are doing, take the fear out of the factor, as long as you do not have anything to be fearful of, and carry on as if it was a legit account, why act differently just because you tweaked a few things to get an account up and running?
