Default eBay - Deliberate Search Engine Limitations

Hello,

Has anyone noticed that brand new eBay accounts suffer from an automatic limitation (seems to be for all new users) where it takes 12 to 24 hours for a listed item to become active on the eBay search engine.

eBay Customer Support claim indexing is to blame and is the same for all users, however this is a lie. I have had accounts that are aged more than 30 days that list on the search engine instantly, and a newer account doesn't until exactly 12 to 24 hours has passed.

Has anyone found a workaround for this or hindered them from selling effectively on a new stealth account?

Thank you for your Sherlock-inspired obversation. The original thread was in May, I believe we are in November, which puts more than a "few weeks" distance in line.

I know the real factors behind it, but I was checking 7 months later to check if anyone managed to activate something or use a particular method of registration to bypass the indexing delays.

As what I sell purely violates their policies, and have no intention to stop selling it (I am happy to keep opening accounts to bypass infractions) I need search results to activate instantly, so I can collect sales and then end the listing. Waiting 12 hours is an inconvenience, especially when their Community Watch team have started taking removals seriously to within a few hours rather than weeks.

If determined, I can still squeeze blood out of their stone in sales but it is a tiring process, although once the money comes in, every penny is worth it.

If search results were instant for all new accounts, my abuse of eBay's website would be a whole lot easier

Just age an account for 30 days if that is what you have found works

Just simply plan a month ahead and you wont have issues. Its not a short term solution but long term you have pretty much already solved it yourself

There are no hacks to get things to show instantly without the aging process.
