Close existing Barclays account, then reapply?

I have a Barclays Basic account that was used with an eBay/PP account that went down.

Is it ok to close this bank ac, wait a couple weeks, then reapply for a new one?

Why don't you use savers accounts ? You can open them online within seconds

Why not work out why your accounts have issues? Then youneed not worry about looking out for new bank accounts.

To finally reply to your question, you can open new account. But you need to mske sure you are not closing bank accounts and getting new ones too much in a given time frame.

I prefer business or basic accounts. Savefs I avoid.
