hi guys, i keep getting this message on an account when i try to withdraw my funds.


''Sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you'' and then it asks to give them a ring

a friend gave me the account awhile ago, i have all the details, name, address , paypal secret questions, and the phone number which i have changed. i dont know the date of birth to the account though.

when i ring tommorow and tell them and say it wont let me withdraw, will they sort it out or will they start asking me a **** load of questions ncluding the date of birth., i have around 300 quid in the account so dont want to lose it!

They will not ask dob even if they do simply end the call

i just tried to withdraw a really low amount (£40) and it let me do it, so shell i let that withdraw go through and try again? or should i still phone then tommorow?

maybe its a glitch?

any advice would be appreciated

Wait till it hits your bank. NEVER CALL THEM UNTIL YOU NEED TO. Then withdrawal even less, wait as i say then days later climb up the amount little by little.

It's a trust issue, either your account has the issue or your recipient. This is backed by extensive 10years of experience. Wait it out is the only thing you can do or change the parameters.

Well you could test changing recipient to see if it works...

this is in regards to withdrawing money to bank account mate.

i never send money to other people or other accounts that i have .

i'am having loads of issues like this i thought it was a glitch 2 weeks solid now security questions then holds etc etc but i changed bank account debit card and email address. plus started selling again so i think all these factors may be the issue,but if it carries on i will have to ring in i even had due to security reasons use classic site tried would not withdraw until i used the old link to classic then 72 hour hold,

theres always some bull**** glitch on paypal or problem when it comes to withdrawing money.

It's not a glitch, it's just an excuse for PP to hold your money...

US members make themselves look like asses by commenting in UK threads acting like some kind of expert.

Me no thinks you've experienced UK accounts for ten years.

I get this all the time! I call paypal and it usually gets sorted in seconds. The first thing they ask is to confirm the name on the account and if you just say you are trying to withdraw but an error message comes up they put you on hold.. and then voila its sorted
