Paypal won't add a bank account after 180 days withdrawal email

Paypal are asking me for documents to add a bank account after 180 days. Every time i call it is like they are reading notes from the prior call so they are just following suit. You know the same lies they tell about it being law (its not its £400) so way below 2000euro laws requiring docs.

Its always suspicious the way they do not allow me to record calls, yet they do.

What is the best way to get my £400 back, i feel once i send docs they will just say they don't pass(another one of paypal lies)

I've had to withdraw after 180 days from about 8 accounts in the last few month and never had this issue. I think its just that first rep made notes and now its a chain reaction

Try phoning PP USA

Doesnt always work, but it can do sometimes.

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We've noticed activity on your account that's not in line with our User Agreement, so we can no longer offer you PayPal services.


Any bank account or credit card details attached to your PayPal account can't be removed nor can they be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can't send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we'll send you an email with instructions on how to transfer your money.

Trouble is i cannot gain access to the email address associated with the account to even check the email.

Same issue. Have about £1200 stuck in an account which is limited. Account has been limited for close to 1 year now but still will not let me withdraw. ��

Yes, to call Paypal USA is good choice, call limitations department and ask to be connected to limitations department phase 2

Yes last year was the last time I did it. You have to call 2 or 3 times (some agents won't help you, but others will). It worked. You need to tell the agent to change your limitation so you can add a bank account. I hate this kind of limitation where you even cannot add a bank account after 180 days.

I called PP and the automated system added the bank. I just had to dial the numbers of the account number and sort code.. Maybe try out of hours
